American Inn & Suites Romulus DTW

"Hallways and rooms were dirty. It seemed like someone had used one of the beds in the room. Water damage in the bathroom. Toilet hadn't been cleaned. Bathtub was dirty - I wanted to take a shower but didn't want to go in with bare feet. There were little hairs all over the bed and an extremely strong cleaner smell. There were stains on the sheets, the bed was hard and weirdly creaky and loud. There were little black spots all over both of the beds. Overall, this place is a dump and I wish I had just splurged on the Westin in the airport - it would have been worth it to be able to take a shower."

"Staff very friendly and location convenient for airport stays. If you need to save money this hotel is fine. However condition of the rooms was very poor. TV and remotes don’t work, smoke alarm was non existent in our room. Reeks of cigarettes and pot."

"Hotel was conveniently located to the airport but that was about it. Ceilings leaking water. No bath towels in the bathroom. Shuttle to the airport was fine. But from the airport was a joke! Called and they said there was a shuttle scheduled for an hour later. So I waited. And after an hour and a half, still not picked up to get back to the motel. Will not be staying there ever again and I honestly do not recommend."

"The ladies who work check in are very friendly, considering they also run the shuttles! Our room was comfortable and clean. The shower was hot and had good pressure. English muffins and coffee were great for breakfast, that starts at 5am! Perfect for early travel. We did the sleep park fly so left our car in the parking lot and when we returned from our trip, called the hotel and 20 minutes later the shuttle was picking us up. I would stay again!"
