Quality Inn 1461 North Opdyke Road, Auburn Hills, MI 48326

"This was my second visit in two months. The first time was a Friday-Saturday stay. This time was a Thursday-Friday stay. The first time was OK. No real problems except a slow bathroom sink. Hotel is showing many signs of aging. They charge $100 deposit that is refundable after housekeeping checks your room. But if you pay cash, notice that housekeeping doesn't start until 9:30 am. The second stay, my wife slept in one bed, and I was in the other. Unbeknownst to me, she did not have a comforter on her bed - just a thin blanket. She was cold all night. The heater in the room was set at 72, but the room was cold. I the morning, I turned it to 76 and it was more reasonable. Something seems to be wrong with the heater. My wife did not bring her hair dryer and there was no hair dryer in the room. She called the front desk and was told that "housekeeping starts at 9:30". Breakfast - a sign on the chafing dish said, "Hot food items will be served only on Saturday and Sunday." Interesting. Otherwise, breakfast was OK."

"The property is not bad, just feels .. unwelcoming. Everything is done to cover the minimums to be ok. So everything looks tired and blah. Can't say it's unclean, but the bed covers had what looked like stains or worn out spots. Some peeling paint in the shower. The heating unit that was not well calibrated and took some massaging to do what i wanted ... I would come here again for a short stay because it is a was reasonable value, but just so..."

"Nice clean room at a reasonable price. We went to the outlet mall a couple miles away. This was 1/2 the price of the the hotels near the mall. Easy access from the freeway. They had a nice breakfast spread in the morning. The room was clean but it is starting to show its age. It was nice and quiet through the night."

"Stayed in a 2 queen bed room. Room was clean. TV was a little small and dark with no way to turn up the brightness. We had a problem with shower where it was making a loud noise. We called the front desk and the maintenance staff showed up and had it fixed within 15 minutes. Pretty impressive. Great service at this hotel. Front desk staff was friendly."
