Holiday Inn Express & Suites Auburn Hills, an IHG Hotel

"Still waiting for the $50 hold to be released off my credit card for incidentals. We stayed 1 night gif Valentine’s Day Feb 14 to Feb 15 and checked out on the 15th at 730 am and today is the 20th and the $50 hold is still on my credit card. I just hung up the phone with a foreign man that I could not understand his accent at the hotel inquiring about this for the 2 nd time and he was rude and in a hurry to get me off the phone. I did not want to look my reservation up…I had to make him. He tried to brush me off and did not have the time to talk to me. He blames it all on my credit card company. He said they released the funds in the 15th. My credit card company said they have not received the release from the hotel. Who should I believe?"

"The front desk management will straight up lie to you and steal from you. they will charge you a smoking fee and have a mountain of “evidence” without ever showing any of the proof. do not come here unless you want to feel discriminated against for your skin color and to allow hotel management to literally steal your money and sit there like “what are you going to do about it”? terrible, awful people run this hotel"

"This hotel manager likes to scam guests. They charged me with a false smoking fee of $150 even though myself and my friend have never smoked in our lives. They made a racist remark about my friend saying that “your type always does this at our hotels”. Do NOT recommend staying here if you enjoy not being scammed!"

"This wasn't my 1st time staying here. It's my go-to hotel in the area. Cynthia answered my phone call before my stay and answered all my questions. She was very helpful. Savannah was there to check me in and was very sweet and lovely. The rooms are nice and clean, minus a couple hairs I found in the bathroom. I like that this hotel has the soap, lotion, shampoo, lotion and body wash installed in pumps in the wall, instead of using disposable toiletries. It's a lot more eco friendly. The beds were nice for the weekend of rest that I needed. I enjoyed the hotel breakfast, especially the omlettes and bacon. The rooms have nice lamps, but it would be nice to have 1 big room light in addition to that for the rooms to be just a bit brighter. I checked out a few hours before it was time for me to go back home, and Patty was helpful and checked my bags for me at the hotel in the meantime so I wouldn't have to lug them around. I'll definitely be back again."

"This hotel was the best experience we've had in a long time. Savannah at the front desk was so friendly and helpful and was always doing her best! The room was so clean and had a really functional spot to put all of our luggage and the bathroom had a bidet. The breakfast was wonderful and Toni at the front desk the next morning saw my 5 year old son admiring an owl key chain from the little convenience store and gave it to him for free. The employees at this hotel made it such a great experience! It was also conveniently location by a lot of shopping and restaurants!"
