"I will say the view from my balcony was gorgeous. The room was ok. Had a musty smell to it and some mold in the shower. Expedia showed free breakfast which was not the case. They instead give you a useless buy one get one free coupon that only applies to adults at a local place to get breakfast. So if you have more then one kid expect to pay $100 for the free breakfast. The pool was ok. The window in the pool room would not shut so it was cold. Service was minimal."
"My only complaint is that the sign on the pool door said the pool opened at nine, the front desk said ten. I was slightly irritated, but they did let me run back into grab my phone! Also has two hot tubs. Hottest hot tub you'll ever be in, needs a hand rail, but ultimately a wonderful place to stay."
"Staff was cold at best. Pool room; ceiling leaked, no functional ventilation there, windows were bolted open for ventilation. Don't let the picturesque photo get you, the beach front is nothing to talk about. It's a very dated hotel, no breakfast as advertised. Last option choice only."
"Nothing wrong with the staff. Very friendly. Wonderful and convenient location to the Star Line ferry, but.... The room and really the entire hotel was musty smelling, I understand it's by the water so there is a lot of condensation....but it seems like there was something more to contribute. There were smears on the wall by the table and in the bathroom. What looked like mold within the peeling wallpaper in the bathroom.. The full length mirror was not secured to the wall so I couldn't let the kids by it as it swung freely. Screen door was torn so keeping bugs out didn't really work and the patio was covered in moss. The pool was very nice, I like that it was heated and we had a blast. The hot tub had one jet that worked but I enjoyed it none the less. Very quiet and comfortable just had some cosmetic issues. So overall not a bad stay just not the most appealing to the eye."
"We stayed in a king bed + queen bed + hot tub room that was huge. The room also had a comfortable couch and an additional mirror and sink outside of the bathroom, which we loved. The problem was that our room smelled like mold the entire time (2 days, one night), and our clothes that we wore while there still smelled like mold when we arrived at home. If it were not for the smell, this room would have been fantastic. In addition, the hotel was not serving breakfast, which is a big drag because I often chose hotels based on whether they serve breakfast or not. Finally, I wish the lobby connected to the guest rooms via an indoor connection, but I guess this is not something that you can fix now."
