"Dr was nice and cordial, but they have a rediculous policy that if you consume cannabis you can't get refills on certain prescriptions. Even if they've been prescribed to you for 20+ years. They won't tell you about this policy right away; theyll make you jump through hoops and schedule multiple different appointments before informing about this policy. Ive never had a problem talking to any Dr. about cannabis consumption and my medications, until this place."
"This is by FAR the absolute worst clinic I have ever been to. My first “psychiatrist” (who I was seeing for treatment of an eating disorder - anorexia/bulimia) suggested that I a) count calories & log my food intake & b) gestured to my stomach and asked what I was going to do about “this situation.” Then, because I hadn’t made a follow up appointment in awhile (we were dealing with the diagnosis of cancer & death of my mother in law & my meds were working fine, so sorry it wasn’t on the top of my priority list) they discharged me. One of my meds is considered a “controlled substance (Vyvanse)” & Im now unable to get it refilled. My history shows no signs of abusing the med. I am now experiencing withdrawal symptoms & the clinic refuses to assist & states I need a new referral to do anything. NO additional options. NO suggestions about how to help. And they claim to treat people with mental illness?? Their lack of care, compassion, & professionalism is beyond anything I have ever experienced in medicine. If you are looking to treat your mental health issues DO NOT GO HERE. Terrible care. Everyone who works here should be ashamed of themselves."
"TL;DR: Avoid unless you have no where else to go. I was a patient here for 3 years. I wouldn't come here unless you have no where else to go for mental healthcare, or if you enjoy being a science project for their providers. Your provider comes with a "holier than thou" supervisor that will threaten to cut your meds off if you don't live your life the way they tell you to. They also have no issues with rapid fire putting you on and off new meds constantly, and don't generally listen to your concerns about medications unless you're having a serious reaction/interaction with another medication. And if you leave, they'll wipe all your diagnoses from MyChart, so good luck picking up where they dumped you with a better provider. I lost 3 years of 20 something medications I didn't do well with, diagnoses, etc. The receptionist is nice, at least. And the waiting room is quiet and comfortable."
"Wasn’t really feeling this place at all. The only personable human I came in contact with was the receptionist. My doc scheduled my follow up an appt 2 months out but never allowed for refills. I ran out and when I called both numbers to reach her it gave me an automated message saying the call couldn’t be completed. When I messaged her in MyChart she never even responded. Also I felt like the case manager was annoyed by me, this place did NOT make me feel welcomed at all. Except for the receptionist. She was very nice."
"Was a patient for almost 2 years. I went through two residence doctors that were both great and very helpful. On the one occasion I did have an issue, about scheduling conflicts with my work schedule, during one of residencies stay. Doctor Vyas, the supervising doctor, was extremely unprofessional and didn't care about the issue. Now very recently I got a new residence doctor who I felt didn't listen to a single word I said. I felt like I was talking to a brick wall. I called immediately after my first visit to ask for a new resident doctor. Doctor Vyas first looked up my attendance record of Bronson Gastrology and brought up that I wasn't a good patient because I had missed an appointment recently. When I told him he was grasping at straws to find a problem with me he suggested that I had a problem because she was a women and I am a man. If he actually knew his patients even a little bit after monitering my appointments for 2 years; he would know how ignorant he sounds. I was raised by a single mother, 75% of my friends are women, and the two psychologist I credit with doing the most good in my life were both woman. The doctor told me I need to go somewhere else for treatment. I tried unsuccessfully to get the head of the Psychology division to reach out to me, Dr. Redinger, but I never recieved a response. Despite the fact I talked directly to his nurse about the entire situation. Overall I am extremely discouraged by this entire experience. Mental health is hard enough to take care of when you don't have to fight your doctors also."
