"Lobby and nurses are the only reason this place has two stars. Y'all are great! But they have ONE doctor and I really don't like a medical professional visibly judging me every time I mention any medical issues I have had or currently have. Go elsewhere if you can."

"I liked oak street health. Until I placed a call a couple days after a emergency room visit. I was stuck in bed in severe pain and could barely turn over waited for 4 days for a call back. NOTHING! I wish I could remember nurse I spoke to. Anyway, so I went back to ER and was Told I had 2 slipped disk. That's another story on the 2 ER visits in 6 days. Spent 4 days in hospital had surgery and no one from oak street health ever reached out. I have moved on elsewhere. I felt ignored and unimportant. Terrible!"

"Couldn't have been more impressed with the friendliness, attentiveness, and thoroughness I experienced during my mother's office visit! I was greeted and asked if I would like a water! What?!?! The nurse's assistant, the phlebotomist, and the nurse practitioner, Stephanie, were all pleasant and professional (sorry I don't recall everyone's name). The most thorough and thoughtful exam by Stephanie I've ever experienced! Better than any doctor I've seen! Kudos to all! You should be very proud of the manner in which you conduct your practices."

"I set up a new patient exam WITH TRANSPORTATION! They told me what time they would be here, the drivers name and what they would be in. It was ten minutes after the time they were supposed to arrive. I contacted the office, ended up on hold for 15 minutes. Then they came on the phone, told me the were super booked and unfortunately couldn't come pick me up. Mind u I live less then 4 miles away. I asked them well I have a ride that will have me there in 15 minutes which would have gotten me there by 10:15, only would be 15 minutes late. She Then told me that they only allow patients to be 5 minutes late? Are u serious? This was not my fault and ur still doing this? I haven't seen a doctor outside of family health center in ten years, then I finally think I got a better Dr and they pull something family health center has never done..just wow"

"Oak Street Health endorsed by AARP.... I really had hoped for the best here. Unfortunately, not so much. I had my first appointment in November of 2022. I will say everyone is very nice. The appointment setting was a bit confusing. Apparently, they use a nationwide call center to set appointments. I received several calls and reschedules before actually going in to see a doctor. Again, everyone is very nice. I think they believe if they are nice enough you won't get frustrated with them. The doctor, Dr Patel, and his assistant were nice but didn't really talk very much. I came prepared with notes and questions but they didn't seem very interested in them. They were however very happy to run every test they thought insurance would pay for. Some of which I'm finding out now may not be covered. Dr Patel also said he'd put in a referral for me...he did not! He even gave me a phone number to call if the referral didn't happen in a week or so. I called 4-5 times and they just said there was no referral. I gave up...also Dr Patel said I would be seen every other month. They do not let you make follow up appointments. They just keep telling you that the doctor will have them call you when it's time for you to be seen. That call has never come! It's now April of 2023... I have called several times! I'm told I will be called when the doctor wants to see me. I am so incredibly frustrated with doctors offices. They smile, kill you with kindness, but follow through with mostly nothing they tell you. I'm done looking for a doctor. Oak Street Health appears to be on top of their game but the truth is they are just trying to get as many patients as they can with the simplest way to bill for anything they can. I really had a poor experience here! I feel duped by AARP and Oak Street Health! Do your homework on Oak Street Health. Read some reviews. I'm sure the doctors are good but getting them to do good by you might be another story. I won't trust anyone sponsored by AARP again."
