"I’m usually weary about the cleanliness of bulk foods, but Mr. Bulky’s was very clean and had a great system in place to make sure the foods did not become contaminated. They have fresh scoops in containers throughout the store that you use when selecting your items, which are then placed in separate used scoop bins to be cleaned after each use. Great prices, surprising selection. Loose leaf tea blends, tons of spices for soups & cooking, lots of dry grains, oats, flours, plus all of the candy options. They also sold small gift items, glass and plastic spice/storage containers, cookie cutters, cake boxes, and decorated treat bags. This is a great find!"

"I was reading the reviews, and one in particular really stuck out to me. "I wish I could bottle up the smell and take it home". Yep, that's pretty much how I feel. This store is so nostalgic, not just because I went there as a kid, but all those young and old can find something here. It is truly an underrated gem. I was in utter shock and disbelief when I realized my Akron born and raised husband had never even heard of it. This place is my go-to for all holiday related candies. There's more than candy, they have spices, tinker toys, molds, and more. I love love love this little shop. I can't wait to come back."

"Great selection of gluten-free flour. Awesome candy selection. Weird soda flavors are available. Giant Gummi stuff. Melting chocolates and molds. Been shopping there since they opened at the Plaza of Chapel Hill. The rock candy on a stick is great. It's the only place that I get my sesame sticks from. They have salted, Cajun spice, everything bagel and cheddar cheese flavors. Seeds and nuts are also available. Small toys with candy inside too."

"Zero-waste life!! Love this place, every now and then i drive all the way from Cle to go there and buy bulk beans, spices and gummy bear. Everything is in good quality and fresh. The staff are nothing but top notch, they patiently weigh my containers before filling them, and after, and subtract the weight to calculate how much i owe, it takes time but they do it with nothing but big smiles. Love it."
