Calvetta Brothers Floor Show

"Life is mostly filled with things that are too good to be true. I think back on most “things” I own, and for the most part they are fine. But they aren’t what I thought they’d be. The same goes for experiences in life. The road trip was cool…but it wasn’t quite what I thought it would be. The ride became sort of monotonous. It wasn’t like the movies at all. Life has a tendency to pale in comparison to what our minds think life should be. And then there is the Calvetta Brothers store. It’s worth noting that we’d been to another one of their stores in the past. They did the carpeting in our basement. It is truly the nicest flooring in our entire house. So we thought we’d give this new store in Akron a shot since it was so close. All we needed was some new flooring to replace the builder-grade nonsense in a bathroom that turned yellow after a little scrubbing. So we went, got some samples, chose some flooring, and brought it back to get the process rolling. And who is there on the day we returned? Casey Calvetta, her dad, and their adorable dog. She comes to take the samples from us, and I insist she doesn’t have to (I mean, she’s literally a local celebrity!). But she does. And her dad says hello. And the rest of the team couldn’t have been more kind and helpful. While we were looking at backsplash samples, I overheard Casey introducing herself to my 11-year old daughter. “Hi, I’m Casey, what’s your name?” She talked with her while we shopped. Sweetness incarnate. Here’s the bottom line. The commercials we’ve all seen? Yeah, these people are that nice and kind and attentive. It was one of those rare experiences that not only didn’t disappoint, but far surpassed any expectation we could have had. From the guy who measured our room to the installers to Casey herself—they are the real deal. Oh, and the new flooring in the bathroom? It’s stunning. I want to drag people upstairs just to show them the floor. When we save up some more money, we will definitely be returning to have them replace other rooms’ flooring. Thanks—to all of you. And they aren’t kidding, we fell in love again—with our home."
