"I moved into this apartment when it was still Detroit Ave Lofts before the switch in ownership and now what it is known by, Hingetown. Being one of the first residents in the building when it was newly renovated and up until recently, I have lived in this building approx 15yrs. The exposed brick wood beams, ductwork, downtown and lake views in every window (from the 3rd floor and up) are stunning & after years of living there some of the residents even became lifetime friends. It always had that sense of community. Each unit gets it own parking space, the apartments are spacious & reasonably priced per SF given the new builds around us & these have so much character. The management team, Insight Holdings has always been a pleasure to work with. Any issues that came up were addressed right away, repairs made timely and it was even super easy to pay rent online. The staff has always been respectful & attentive & I value the relationship. The only reason I moved was because my family needs changed requiring a single family residence, otherwise I’d still be there. The location can’t be any better. Everything is in walking distance or nearby & downtown is just over the bridge. Nothing beats those morning sunrises and evening sunsets through those windows."

"This place is the absolute worst. Our ceiling leaked for the entire year after literally constant communication with the holding company about it. I had an ant infestation come out from the walls. I was required to have my apartment cleaned when I moved in because it was unlivable, which is illegal, and then they charged me over $1000 when we moved out for things including cleaning fees. They aren’t friendly at all and don’t seem to even care about anything. Need I go on? I will check my post later and add photos from the constant leaking ceiling."

"I have lived in the Hingetown Lofts building since 2014 - - long before the neighborhood was known as "Hingetown." I have enjoyed living in this building as a longtime resident of the building. The customer service of the office is great and they are extremely attentive to any needs in each individual unit. Everything that has needed fixed in my loft unit has been fixed in a timely manner, and accommodations have always been made if something is going to take a little longer. During the month of April of 2020, at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, our building owner generously gave us a 10% discount on our rent due to the economic situation - which was greatly appreciated! This is a great place to live - especially if you work in downtown Cleveland or in the surrounding neighborhoods. Great restaurants, bars and nightlife in the area, and many things within walking distance. Parking is never an issue because we all have our own assigned parking spaces. Most of the time - I don't even have to take my car out to run errands around town or to walk to work in nice weather.
