"I lived at the Charleston Apartments for over 7 years and never had any major issues. Rent was affordable, matainence issues were resolved quickly, and the office staff was friendly and approachable. I recommend to others looking for an apartment in the area."
"Was a tenant for almost 5 years. Staff was friendly for the most part. Few things could've been improved. A few years ago there was an infestation of bugs at the apartment complex. My initial thought was maybe I spilled something or left food somewhere (I didn't), but it wasn't just my apartment that had the bugs. I squashed over 100 bugs in about an hour one night, tried going to sleep and felt one crawl up my spine and said "forget this" and went to go sleep in my car. Called the office the next day (after mentioning bugs to them before, and spraying the apartment down with bug spray myself) and it took about a week before they had someone come out and spray all of the apartments with industrial grade bug spray. Another thing that didn't leave me too pleased was I gave them the required 1 month notice before moving out. I filled out the necessary paperwork and sent it to them with a move out date 30 days from writing the notice. I moved most of my stuff to my new place within the first 2 weeks. I was driving back and forth from Ohio and Michigan (for work) and was only staying in the apartment 2 days a week during that last month. After I moved my bed and everything else, I basically just threw a blowup mattress in the bedroom for the 2 nights I would sleep there and was going to be out fully by the 30 days. I go back in to the apartment after 2 weeks into my 1 month notice and see that the carpet is ripped up and there are painting supplies everywhere. They started renovating the apartment BEFORE my lease was up. They didn't notify me of this, or provide a prorated months rent, or anything for coming in early and starting their renovations. They felt it was appropriate to check if all my stuff was out (not knowing I was still utilizing the apartment even though most of my stuff was gone) and enter as if I still didn't have 2 weeks left on the lease. It was a terrible way to end an otherwise decent 5 year long relationship with them."
"We moved from our Sandusky Square 2 bedroom apartment last month after living there for two years. Besides being affordable, the apartment was well planned with really nice cabinets and new appliances. The unit was in pristine condition when we moved in, and according to the deposit reconciliation we received in the mail today, it will be in the very same condition for the next tenants. We loved living at Sandusky Square during a major life transition. The office staff, Cheryl and Emily, are friendly, helpful, and professional. Dan, the maintenance man, stays on his toes to make any necessary repairs, etc. in a timely manner. This complex could not be managed better. The owner and staff keep everything organized, well maintained and secure. We felt not only comfortable living there, but safe as well. We very highly recommend Sandusky Square Apartments for anyone looking for an affordable, clean, healthy, friendly and homey residence."
"For the pricing it's not bad. Leasing office staff is extremely friendly! Maintenance immediately takes care of any issue(s). Everyone that lives around is really nice. Even with being right next to 75, it's not that loud. If I had one complaint it would that one bedroom is small, but it fits for my boyfriend and our two kittens. Pros: Quiet, Friendly, close to stores, close to exits Cons: next to 75. One bedroom is only ~580 sq ft"
