"I needed help finding a gift for my son and was pointed to the general direction of where it was. It took me a while to find the area, and needless to say, I never found anything for him as I could not get on my knees to look at the bottom row. I did find a book that I was looking for and was never asked about my membership to get the points that I should get. I came home and canceled my yearly membership after that experience. I have been to other bookstores, and if I could not find what I needed, the customer service always came with me to help me."
"This is the number one book stop for the Northern Kentucky area. Smaller shops may offer better pricing an used options but the selection and options available here are second to none. In store pickup always works like a charm."
"I had a great shopping experience - solid selection and everyone was super helpful and polite in the midst of a very busy day. Then when I called about an issue with my membership benefits, Ryan got it sorted out for me within minutes. I'll definitely be back!"
"I stopped here yesterday to finish up my Christmas shopping for my bookworm daughter. I had the pleasure of encountering Kaitlynn. She was helpful, knowledgeable, and extremely pleasant. I had a full list of books that I needed. Of the sixteen books I got, she knew exactly where fourteen of them were and happily looked up the last two so we could find them as well. My trip to your store was a breeze, thanks to Kaitlynn. She went above and beyond with me. You have an asset of an employee with her! The store is well stocked and orderly. There are countless books of all genres, book markers, games, and calendars. All of the employees had smiles on their faces, which means the world in this day and age and season. Also, they now have a free rewards thing, separate from the membership, that allows you to earn money towards your next purchase. There's a common parking lot shared by other companies in the strip. Parking was easy to find, and it's free."
"This is technically the closest Barnes and Noble to me, but this was my first visit because I hate using I-75 to cross over into Kentucky. Thankfully, I was really impressed. It's about the same size as the West Chester location and set up quite differently. Their board games section isn't nearly as impressive (or cohesive) as West Chester's, but thankfully, we weren't here for those (bought a few at the other location last weekend). As always, I was focused on the history section. Even though their selection of World History was smaller than the other location I frequent, it had a great variety of books that were different. I did notice quite a few damaged books, in one case two books right next to each other in World War II history (see photo). Thankfully, most books weren't damaged and I ended up with nearly $200 worth of history books. There was a male employee with awesome long hair who kept passing by me and asked once if I needed help. I eventually did since I was looking for a book on the Spanish flu; other locations have this type of "event" history near World History. He showed me where those types of books were and thanked me for giving him the perspective of having those types of books in the history section (he handled the World History section and said they have some amount of control over how they're displayed). He was super friendly and also checked me out at the register, where he recommended a book based on my clear interest in Middle Eastern/European history. It was definitely a great experience with an employee and I wished I'd been able to talk to him more. Overall, this is a wonderful Barnes and Noble location that I'll have to revisit as often as I can brave I-75. I definitely recommend alternating between this and the West Chester location since their selections are so different."
