"I just moved from NYC to Orlando last year. In nyc, you tend to shop at the mom and pop stores to get personal service. I had been going to my pharmacist in ny for over 20 years and he was by far better than any of those chain pharmacies ( Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid) he would actually deliver my scripts on his way home and go out of his way to make sure my insurance would be in order. I walked into Direct Pharmacy this morning and was greeted by a very personable counter person. I knew I would get the once over seeing as my scripts were controlled. I had all my paperwork from the doctors office and for my scheduled back surgery. After a few minutes the pharmacist came out and spoke with me to make sure I wasn’t a “pill shopper “ I had shown him my receipts from NY and all the paperwork necessary to get the meds. He told me it was back ordered and it would be awhile. We got into a conversation that I’m pretty sure he was able to understand my situation and was more than happy to help. As this was my first time going there, I knew I was going to get a hard time no matter where I went, but he hung in there and helped me out. He was very professional about it, and didn’t judge me. I would always recommend a mom and pop shop anytime. This being no different, I received the service that you would expect from that type of store. I will have future prescriptions and hope we can get along like the pharmacist I had up in NYC.."
