"I do not recommend doing business with this company. I booked a rental via VRBO. It did reflect a pet fee of $250 for up to two dogs. I selected 2 adults & 2 dogs on VRBO app. I booked the unit paid the fees charged by VRBO. DeeAnna emailed me a rental agreement and it was completed right away & returned to her. The renal agreement reflected that I would be bringing my two dogs. I also sent her an email advising that I would be bringing my dogs. Once rental agreement was returned & I received booking confirmation from VRBO I assumed we had nothing left to do but enjoy our vacation. On arrival day, you receive your entry code 10 minutes prior to check-in. We knew we couldn’t access unit until 4pm but we arrived at 3 and drove over to unit just to see the location and surroundings, as we had never stayed there before. DeeAnna pulled in right behind us. She stated unit would be ready by 4 and we explained we were just stopping by to check it out & we would come back. She asked if we had any questions and we told her no and left. We are back at 4 entered house. The house wasn’t nasty but it needed a thorough cleaning. The floors were dirty. The bedding was stained. There was rust on white caulk all around top edge of sink in master bath. The hand towel holder was so rusty I put it away as to not have to look at it all week. It looked gross. Dishes were put away dirty. The front windows were so dirty you couldn’t see outside. I immediately started cleaning. I then get a text from DeeAnna that I owed a $250 pet fee, that the VRBO reservation didn’t reflect I would be bringing pets. I explained that I did select that I would be bringing pets. I’m not sure why she couldn’t see that on her side. I also told her that I had listed them on the rental agreement and ask why I wasn’t billed at the time of booking once she received the rental agreement, instead of 2 hours after check in. The only response I received was she didn’t see the pets on VRBO and I needed to contact them. I NEVER tried to avoid paying the pet fee and paid it within an hour or so of her original text. I do not think it’s good business to bill someone for something after checkin that should have been billed immediately upon receiving rental agreement. I’ve used VRBO many times. I received a five star rating from every owner I rented from. She rated me a 1 for following house rules. We followed every single house rule she had listed. She rated me a 1 on communication when obviously she was the one that failed to communicate. She did rate me a 5 on cleanliness, as she should have the place was cleaner when we left with our 2 dogs than it was when we arrived. She then responds to my review on VRBO and states that I wasn’t honest an courteous, which is not true. I was never dishonest with her about anything. I have documentation and pictures to prove it. She did offer to send a clean comforter and I refused we just didn’t use a comforter. She also offered offered to cancel our reservation an refund us but we declined as we had driven 10 hours with 2 dogs and had not other accommodations. It’s very sad that you spend your money for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation and this is what you deal with. Please read my review on VRBO. It’s not as detailed as I was trying to avoid all the drama but DeeAnna chose to say I was dishonest and that didn’t sit well with me."
