Scottish Inns St Augustine, FL

"I booked the Scottish Inn through priceline. On the day of my arrival I pulled into the Inn. It looked dirty, run down, and unsafe. After driving 8 hrs from N Georgia. I went into the office, there was noone there. I called 2 different times between 4-4:30, no answer. There was not an answering service to leave a message. My husband and I then booked a place elsewhere. Around 8 PM, someone from the Inn called to ask when we would be checking in. I explained to her that knowone answered the phone and there was not a single person in the office. She said that's "impossible" bc she is there 24/7. I then gave her the address that priceline sent for the reservation and the phone # I called. Still she insisted it was "impossible" and further went on to tell me and I quote " this is not her fault...and per the cancelation policy, I will be charging the full price of the room." Although I had to make accommodations elsewhere. Needless to say I will be disputing these charges to my credit card company. Do not make reservations for the place."

"If I could leave 0 stars I would. I did not stay here but only rented a uhaul truck here. Front desk was completely clueless and barely spoke any English to boot. After about an hour of phone calls we finally drove away with the truck. Ridiculous."

"My room was disgusting!! It was hot outside, and we walk in to the room with the AC on and hot as outside. And first thing notice is a strong smell, almost makes your stomach turn, it was a no smoking room and still smelt like someone smoked 10 packs of cigarettes in there. We go to pull the blankets down, and there’s a dead roach on the PILLOW! We took a shower and thankfully there was hot water. We stayed not even a hour and we headed on our way out! And NO REFUNDS"

"Me and my husband live here now. Yes bugs and yes old and yes not very clean, but since I live here I do all my cleaning and bombed and we have our stuff in here , we took all their furniture out and put in ours. I clean everyday and now no bugs I will post pics later when done remodeling my room.. and I have no problem with the people who manage here. Very nice to us"

"It was horrible. I was watching them clean first off and they barely touched any of the surfaces. Like pretended to clean. The shower was filled with other people's hair. The towels had pubic hair on them. Plus they were very rude people. Very nosey and ask you who people are that drop you off. If u like a filth stay here. Ur better off sleeping in your car."
