Days Inn by Wyndham St Augustine/Historic Downtown

"Wow, how deceiving the website pictures are versus the actual hotel. The building isn't even the same color. It looks straight up ghetto. And you know it's pretty Shady when there's a Dennys attached to it. First off, the location was great! Within walking distance to downtown. Parking was free, which was awesome, too. Unfortunately, the hotel was outdated and not welcoming. The room I was in was dirty. There was food in the mini fridge, dirt/gravel/sand/hair all over the wood floors, missing a curtain, and missing pictures from the wall. You could see the hooks but no pictures. The beds were alright but nothing to rave about. For the money, it was ok as just a place to sleep. Walls are THIN. We had neighbors on both sides whom we could hear conversations clearly. Side note, doors don't leave you feeling safe even when it's locked. You get what you pay for. If you're looking for just a place to crash, it's decent."

"I'm very pleased with my stay at Days Inn!! It's so convenient and close to everything! I honestly prefer having easy access to my vehicle and not having to walk through a whole lobby just to retrieve something quickly so I like having the door facing the outdoors. The rooms have a very clean feeling and they keep them pretty nicely updated. Big TV's in the room make them feel so much nicer. Smaller microwave and fridge, but that's fine, glad to have them still. No breakfast at this location, but also, not too big of a deal for me. The lamps are rusting a little bit in my room, but you'll have that in Florida."

"I thought for the price ($250) it was going to be better. The tub didn’t drain properly (which was gross). Everything in the room seemed a bit outdated. The neighbor below us was complaining about a roach infestation in her room (needless to say my husband tells me that conversation with the neighbor upon our checkout). My pros: the stairs are easy to climb, the location is within walking distance, and the ladies at checkin and checkout were very nice.. My Cons: the beds, shower, appearance, and price."

"The room was basic but clean. This is my second stay at this hotel. The staff was great. I did see one bug, it was a flying roach but I'm local and I know this happens. Killed it and didn't see anymore throughout our stay. Had a microwave and mini fridge that worked great the price was unbeatable since they had the nights of lights going on. Had lots of fun walked back and forth from the historic area a few times and even ate at the Denny's. Also I could tell that the hotel has a water softener system. That made me happy!! Will definitely stay here again. I love the convenience..."

"They must be way behind on maintenance. Our room keys repeatedly did not work. the sink and bathtub drained very slowly but the toilet was fine. I killed five little roaches in our room. To their credit, the staff was responsive and fixed the mechanical problems. The bed was pretty good. Price was well below the nicer hotels in the area so you can decide what level of comfort and convenience you want."
