"Fairly new hotel so rooms are in great shape. Room had a musty smell though which reminds me of those hotels in the Caribbean with direct access to outside, except this is a regular hotel with hallways…so that was weird. Main gripe though is I had an initially booked a room on my credit card but then cancelled it within the 24 hours without a fee which is permitted in the T&C, as I decided to use my Marriott points instead as I’m a platinum member. A week later no refund which is fine, so I brought it up to staff when I arrived for check in. They said it would be take care of. Fast forward a week later and there’s still no refund so I replied to one of this emails from management asking how my stay was to ask where my refund is. The response was that I booked a non refundable room BUT as an exception they’ll refund me this one time. They need to brush up on knowing their terms and conditions as I was well within my right for a refund and didn’t need to feel I was out of bounds for my request. Sent the manager time stamped screenshots of booking, cancellation policy and cancellation confirmation email and didn’t receive a response, which is fine. I got my money back eventually."
"Since it is close to cruise port, stayed here night before the cruise few days ago. Due to noise coming from outside, wasn’t able to sleep that night ( prior to cruise). Informed front desk agent who sent a maintenance person to the room to check. He investigated and noted noise coming from kitchen vents. We were on 3rd floor I think, outside kitchen vents also on the same level as the room we were staying. I can see the vents from window about 5 feet away outside. Front desk said no room is available to make move. I asked for higher discount since paid good amount for that night. Front desk person noted she will inform manager and get back. So far I haven’t heard from them. Nice building but was not able to sleep due to constant noise from outside close to the room."
"This is a relatively new hotel so they are still working out all the kinks, however the manger was excellent at handling the situation! Room was clean & beautiful. Nothing as great as a Marriott bed & pillows! Buying one when I get home. Pool area is very nice. Restaurant on site is delicious but a little pricey. Marriott is always a good choice!"
"Spent 1 night there between flights… rooms & beds are comfortable & modern. Room service is your dinner delivered in a brown paper bag & wooden utensils, no cream or sugar with coffee order… don’t expect delicious food. It’s a great location to the airport & valets are quick. Didn’t use pool or exercise area, so I can’t comment on those. Easy & clean for a night, wouldn’t do a long stay… but there’s a vacation Marriott 5 miles away if you want to explore the area."
"Location is perfect. Close to cruise terminal and airport. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The only issue was airport shuttle. We had an early flight out 5AM so we were really concerned about getting to the airport. We ask 6 different employees and were told 6 times the air port shuttle is 24/7 no worries. We were told by the front desk to be outside at 5 till 3 AM and we would be fine. We were outside at 2:45 AM to find out by another hotel guest that the shuttle did not run between 2-4 and the front desk called him a taxi. So off to the front desk and yes no shuttle between 2-4 she called us a taxi that we had to pay for. The only reason we chose to pay the higher price for the hotel was the free 24/7 shuttle. We could have payed a lot less at another hotel and made our own airport arrangements for a lot less."
