Reviews of AC Hotel by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Airport
"I absolutely LOVE this hotel. The rooms are great, the staff is so nice, and the pool is gorgeous! I stay here every time I have to fly in or out of FLL. They also have an airport shuttle. Huge plus."
"We arrived last night in two taxis with one elderly person and one disabled person in a wheelchair. There was no bell boy. We were forced to carry all our luggage ourselves to the room along with pushing my aunt in the wheelchair. There was a queue at reception to check in as there was only one person (Robert) working. He provided excellent service. We went to the Marriott hotel (it connects to our hotel and they are sister hotels who share the kitchen) and waited over an hour for two sandwiches and one burger. We had told the waiter that my aunt was diabetic but we still had to wait. We complained this morning to our hotel restaurant manager Leo and he dealt with our complaint immediately. He was very professional and efficient."
"Scheduled to stay here for 2 weeks. It’s my 2nd day technically, since I arrived late on Tuesday evening. Went to the front desk to request that my room be cleaned or at minimum, sheets changed. The room wasn’t serviced the day before and all the uncaring Hispanic woman could offer was an excuse and that towels be provided. I could understand if every customer made the same request, it being unattainable. But if this is how you treat platinum customers, this will be my first and last stay. I may check out early as well."
"My recent visit at the AC Hotel by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Airport was exceptional. The hotel's modern and stylish design immediately caught my attention, and the service was impeccable. Visiting someone for a meeting in their hotel room was convenient, and the room itself was well-appointed and comfortable. The staff was courteous and accommodating, making the overall experience truly enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure travelers. Five stars without a doubt!"
"Just stayed at this hotel and it left me in a quandary. It’s located directly adjacent to the Ft. Lauderdale airport so it’s a great location for air travelers. It’s also located smack dab in the middle of a very nice, brand new, and growing shopping and entertainment zone, Dania Pointe, so it offers guests far more than your run-of-the-mill “airport hotel”. But the hotel itself has definitely got its drawbacks. For instance, the building it’s housed in actually has TWO hotels and boy does that cause a lot of confusion! There’s the Marriott and then there’s the AC Hotel by Marriott. They share a parking garage as well as some amenities such as the pool. The main street entrance to the AC Hotel has no personnel and is merely a huge, empty stairwell. Realistically, the best way to arrive is to enter the parking garage first and park. Then enter the appropriate hotel from the garage. This actually brings you into a lobby near the front desk. Overall, it’s a very strange layout that only serves to confuse everyone. The hotel itself immediately announces that yes, it is only an “airport hotel” by way of its lack of restaurants. There is one but it’s only for breakfast. And there’s a lounge. The odd thing about this is that it’s really not a problem because the hotel is surrounded by several great restaurants. The rooms are nice but very “European”. In other words, not very warm or inviting. Definitely NOT designed for any extended stays. There’s virtually no storage so you should plane on living out of your suitcase. Otherwise, the rooms are okay but I definitely didn’t like the square toilet. Most uncomfortable toilet I’ve ever sat on! If I ever go back to that area, I guess I’ll try the OTHER Marriott next door!"
