"6 employees, One customer. clearly I was interrupting Social hour eventually I was acknowledged and educated about how to buy balloons, i asked for six balloons with helium and realized this is going to take a while so I suggested I could do some other shopping and come back in 15 minutes, 20 minutes and half the balloons completed but employee social hour priority was in full swing. No customer priority or focus."

"I’ve always gone to this party city for as long as I can remember but last Thursday 10/19 I had a horrible experience. I stopped by to buy some party supplies for my sisters birthday with my mom. I grabbed some balloons that had a sign that said free helium. So I walk up to the helium counter and wait in line. It’s finally my turn and the phone rings so the employee Marianne picks up. She sees I have balloons in my hand so she tells me to go to the cashier because she can inflate them there too and that she was on the phone. I was confused why she would send me to the cashier because I assumed that was where I could go to inflate my balloons because she had balloons inflated above her head. So I walk over to the cashier and she rings me out. She took about 10 minutes to check me out and there was a line starting to form behind me. I told her that the other employee had sent me over to her to inflate my balloons. She says no, that I would have to go back over there. Now I was getting annoyed. So after purchasing my items I walk back over to the helium counter and I tell Marianne that the cashier had sent me back over to her. She rudely asks “did you purchase those items” as I’m holding the shopping bag and receipt in my hand… I tell her to inflate my balloons because I’ve been sent back and forth by 2 employees and neither one could help me. As she starts to inflate the first balloon, another customer lines up behind me and she takes care of them right away and leaves my balloons there. She tells the customer she doesn’t know “why people are being so impatient and in a rush today because it’s not even Halloween yet”. I ignore the comment but I know she was directing that to me. I patiently wait what felt like 30 min pass by. I start realizing how slow these employees are. As I’m still waiting, I overhear a customer arguing with the cashier why he can’t do a return with her and the cashier says that it is only her 3rd day working there so she’s not sure how to do a return yet and that he would have to go to Marianne to do the return. I was shocked to see how unprofessional this party city was. Not only did they leave a cashier alone with what seemed like was still in training but they also had another employee who was being very rude to customers. I got tired of waiting so I grabbed my balloons off the counter and walked out. I usually am understanding about situations like this but the employee was obviously not wanting to help me out. So thank you for wasting my time party city. I hope you can find better employees who actually want to work."

"I had some latex balloons I needed filled with helium. It was a Saturday morning (very busy) but the people were very speedy and I made the party on time. I suggest you make an appointment to have this done. Thanks Party City!"
