Extended Stay America Premier Suites - Miami - Airport - Doral - 87th Avenue South

"This is my first experience with extended stay, and truthfully, I would never recommend it to anyone, and I would never stay here again. I had multiple conversations ahead of time with extended stay to ensure that my disabled father would get a handicap accessible room, including a roll-in shower. However, when we arrived, there was a tub and high bed and office chairs with wheels that roll (fall risk) and no shower chair as I had requested. When I went to complain, they said in quotes “we don’t do that;” “we don’t actually have accessible rooms but you got a suite instead.” It does not make sense that it is a suite because there are grab bars in the bathroom so it seems like an attempt was made to try to make it handicap accessible, but failed when it came to the actual functional aspect of making it an accessible room. It was very challenging to have my dad stay here and it was even more challenging that the staff was so useless and did not care that I would need a more accessible room. I should probably report this to the Better Business Bureau Because if it was just my dad staying there, this would’ve resulted in a far shorter stay and possibly physical injury."

"Musty odor in the room. Mold presence. Very dirty sheets and pillows. No cooking pans, utensils in the kitchen. There was no coffee left at 7:00 am in breakfast time. Not very friendly reception staff. Too noisy with different kind of pets."

"Horrible service. Charged extra after checking out and I haven’t gotten an explanation for it. We left the room in good clean condition. They did not have the amenities an Extended Stay should have. Lack of cookware and bowls, and just laughed when we kept asking for it. Staff purposely did not put out all breakfast items but they took them for themselves."

"I had a long term stay of several months at this hotel. I would highly recommend. The staff was great. The management excellent. Rooms were remodeled and cleaned weekly. The cleaning ladies were all very nice and did a great job cleaning. I never saw a bug or felt unsafe. The hallways were always kept clean. I intend to revisit for another long term stay. In fact I recommend to anyone that needs a place to stay in Doral."

"There’s a young girl with glasses who swears she owns the hotel. Doesn’t know how to greet the welcoming guest because she’s always on her phone. Looks up and back down with no hospitality. Horrible attitude problem when asked questions and when told to drop the attitudes says “I’m from New York” as an excuse to give one. Clearly Cubans can be loud if wanted but can still act like an adult and speak respectfully when need be. so she makes no sense. (Childlike mindset) Very rude to the elderly as she has given an aggressive attitude towards a woman getting breakfast for her kids and her stopping saying they need to come get it themselves. (2 of the children are special needs). Clearly,the mom cant carry everything (2 per guest) so she takes a bag and now the girl with glasses doesn’t allow her too. A woman with health issues herself, this young lady goes the extra mile to makes it difficult for her. Besides her, The cleaning ladies are so sweet and nice other staff are sweet and happy and respectful as well too but this young girl should not be the front desk of this hotel. I don’t know how they have her working here when she clearly is not fit to the description what a front desk receptionist of a hotel should represent."
