The Palms Inn & Suites Kendall Miami

"Being a healthcare worker that works overnight I called in to book a room for one night and asked if I can check out at 2pm the next day instead of 12. I live 20 miles away and felt it was more responsible to get something closer to work so I can have enough energy to drive back home. The booking date was suppose to be for 2/14/2024-2/15/2024. My plan was to be use it for two days to sleep right after work. The check out time was for 2/15/2024 for 12pm. I asked them to extend it for two hours so that I don’t oversleep; They were not willing to extend the checkout time for two hours even though I explained my situation. Spoke with a reservationist and the reservationist supervisor & their tone weren’t even reflective of having any type of courtesy or empathy. This is not somewhere I would recommend anyone to rent a room where the service lacks any type of customer service. Looking over at some of the previous reviews there are quite a few complaints about the front desk agents attitudes, so there’s clearly some type of coaching and or changes that need to be made."

"The day before our arrival, we received this message: "Dear Guest: Due to a glick on our reservation system the hotel is overbooked. We are truly sorry but we are forced to relocated you in our sister hotel; Holiday Inn Miami/Kendall" We would have liked to have at least been given the choice of accepting to be "relocated" to their partner hotel! We had chosen this one for its proximity to restaurants and the fact that we could find entertainment without needing the car (rare in the USA!), but in the end, after a 12-hour flight, we had to take the car back to eat almost on the interstate ... Of course, it was impossible to find another hotel on our own: on New Year's Eve, all the rooms were taken or overpriced. Not to mention the fact that the hotel we were forced to stay in was more than standard, not even close to what the photos of the Palms Inn suggested. And of course, no financial compensation."

"Staff was very friendly and accommodating. They offer cash payment. Rooms and property was very clean. And hotel is walking distance to the stores ( grocery stores and mall outlet and restaurants. The free breakfast was served hot and delicious"

"Great place to stay! The only small issue was that the walls are a bit thin so you can hear your neighbors, but thankfully ours slept before midnight. The place is clean, lively, and has great breakfast."

"Nice and clean rooms! Conveniently located, nice staff. Everything was great. No problem at all regarding deposits (as described by some). We weren't even asked to put down a deposit. Would recommend and come again when in the area."
