InterContinental Miami, an IHG Hotel

"Wonderful, iconic hotel, which is incredibly well positioned. What did we love? The beauriful executive lounge, our suite (thank you for this), the views, the central and very convenient location, the rooftop pool (on level 5) and the concierge (thank you, Eduardo, for your amazing service). It all made for a stunning stay. Could anything be better? Occasionally service misfired, but this was very overlookable as so much was excellent."

"Beautifully designed hotel but devoid of any warmth from the staff, other than the lady on the Concierge Desk who was amazingly helpful. Rooms smaller than expected at this price point but immaculate, beautiful beds and linen. Bottled water was said to be complementary, nice touch, but you have to call reception for it to be brought up, so the usual tip is probably more than buying your own water. Child bed missing despite reservation being for three people. No issue, they would bring one up…another tip. Nice view over the port until the party boat and its booming music moor right outside, although it was Friday Night and thankfully the music stopped at 11pm but if you’ve just flown in from around the world and need some rest, its something to consider before booking an ocean view room. Great location if joining a cruise out of Miami. Wonderful property let down by the lack of a warm welcome and average attention to detail."

"Stayed there last month during the holiday weekend and this hotel is absolutely amazing. We had a clear view of the port from our room on the 21st floor and it was jaw dropping. The service, bar area,food from Toro and the breakfast buffet was fantastic.This atmosphere was in great walking distance from nearby shops and restaurants and you couldn’t ask for a better place where pretty much everything was at your disposal. This hotel is definitely one of the best I’ve stayed at!"

"We stayed at this location because of the proximity to the cruise port. Cons: We got stuck inside our guestroom because the door lock was jammed, causing us to constantly jiggle the doorknob in order to open the door. The guestroom doors should be soft close at this price point; all you hear are doors slamming. If you arrive before Noon and wish to check in, there is a charge. If you wait past Noon and sign up as a member, you can request early check in pending availability. There were also scratches (initials) engraved in the windows. The bed pillows had foul odors, for which we shared this specific complaint to the front desk. Another con is the area, overall, of downtown. We went to dine out and found ourselves having to dodge defecation EVERYWHERE. It was awful. (I understand this is outside of the hotels control.) The hotel being near water and the park was beautiful, along with a nice lobby, but we will never reserve another stay at this property again. We would prefer to stay near the airport."

"Room was comfy and had everything we needed! Service was awesome! The bell hops & front desk personnel were awesome! Concierge was super amazing! She had remembered us, later on in the day, from an encounter we had had earlier in the day! What made her super was that she also remembered us the day!!! Location was amazing! The waterfront offered great vistas from our ocean view room on the 23rd floor! We could walk to very nearby restaurants and shops from the hotel."
