Staybridge Suites Miami Doral Area, an IHG Hotel

"Above and beyond. Room was clean and service was outstanding. The guy at the breakfast was super friendly and needless to say was everybody else as well. The valet guy was very cordial and Miguel, the shuttle driver, were very communicative about the schedule and were punctual."

"The Good - Location - This place is in a very convenient place. Close to restaurants and within a short drive to the beach. I felt the place could have a few updates and be a pretty good hotel. Staff - The front desk for the most part was very friendly and helpful with the exception of the guy that works the desk at night (with the beard) everyone else was help. They gentleman working the day shift did exceptional. The breakfast crew.... If you are lucky enough to get the guy then count your blessing. He is cheerful and helpful. If you get the lady then you are lucky to get the breakfast at all. Housekeeping - I felt they could have been better. They were not bad but not great either. The Bad - Lets start with the staff. The guy that works the desk at night never greeted ANYONE or talked at all. For a person who works in hospitality he was not very good at all. Maybe not his line of work. If you asked for something he just seemed like you were bothering him. This could also go for the lady that did the breakfast. I seen her get upset with a few people for asking for simple item or if something was going to get refilled. The housekeep was not even working or they didn't clean room for 4 days in a row. I know we visited over the holidays but you would have thought they would have at least some people there for that. I think for the most part the staff was good and maybe the manager is slowly going through the staff but some replacements and more hires would be great for this place. Lastly I would say for the rooms, I think they were ok. again housekeeping would be better would help a lot. One thing I would suggest Holiday inn (parent of Staybridge) change soon is to update the bathroom areas. It just felt like they needed something and was disappointed the quality."

"The only good thing about this hotel was that it was within walking distance of a lot. The hotel itself needs major help. We asked for early check in and was told to check at 1, so we did. At 1, housekeeping was supposedly running behind so we hung out noticing another couple waiting as well. A group of ladies tried checking in not too long after and were given keys and allowed to check in, confusing and frustrating that guests aren’t helped in order of arrival. The ceiling in the lobby looks moldy like they’ve had water damage and it smells like piss. Once we finally got a room after 3, which I felt like I had to fight for, the carpets were soaking wet and the heater was left on 82. It was apparent there had been some kind of stain next to the bed and the shower was rusting in the tub. We were promised breakfast at 630 but once we got downstairs for breakfast the lady screams at us “730” and moves chairs to block off the breakfast area. Multiple other people were downstairs for breakfast with us and we had to ask if we all could at least have coffee. We requested a shuttle to the airport which I stood at the front desk and waited to have scheduled yet when we brought it up to the front desk guy the next morning he wasn’t showing needing any shuttle and had to call again. Not how I wanted to end my honeymoon and everyone deserves to know how nasty and rude our experience was at this hotel. I wouldn’t stay here again."

"Staying at this hotel while my fiancé recovers from surgery. The night we got there it was storming pretty bad, and the lobby ceiling was leaking. Seems like they need to replace the roof. Our room was flooding and they wouldn’t put us into a new room until the next day. Our new room seemed perfectly fine, and comfortable, until I started seeing cockroaches. One live, and several dead. The dishwasher doesn’t turn on, and two of the four laundry machines are broken. We booked for a while and it’s too late to change hotels, but I do wish we’d stayed at a Holiday Inn Express."

"The front desk customer service staff member was excellent and the room was very nice having all of great additional amenities such as a couch and kitchen area along with the other necessary amenities. The Maintenance Staff member was excellent also with how he handled the situation with the television. 5-star treatment no doubt. Keep up the great work you're doing there!"
