"I must say I was surprised with how satisfied I was with my stay here, especially since the price was very reasonable. Booked a smoking room, but the room didn't have a bad smell whatsoever. The room and linens and towels were clean and they had extra toilet paper. Let's say, I was so impressed I ended up extending my stay 2 extra nights. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and made sure we were comfortable for our entire stay. The bed itself and pillows actually exceeded my expectations, and even impressed me. Honestly about the most comfortable bed in a hotel room I have slept in throughout the multiple hotels I stayed at in Panama City. The only thing I could even remotely complain about would be how much traffic passed by the hotel during the day, which made me able to hear the traffic noises coming from the road. But that itself was not enough to deter me from coming back. I have booked at econo lodge again and I'm currently staying here for another night. Great value, clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff and we truly feel welcome here. I absolutely recommend giving them a try, you sure can't beat it for the price. Happy customers here!"

"No, it is not been refurbished, but that's reflected in the lowest price around. Bed's were firm, it's a slightly loud street location, BUT its across from a well-stocked circle k, it's real close to the bridge to get to the beaches, so the South part of Panama City strip is 10-minute ride away, basically Central to everything you'd want to get to in the whole area. You can literally walk 3 minutes behind it to get to the bay for excess of, say, a canoe. Wifi worked for what we needed. Everything electrical worked, the water was hot, room 124 was quite clean, the door locked, card worked, A/C worked well. The staff was polite and helpful. Deposit refund was very quick. I didn't hear any gunshots, which I can't even say about home any more. I would recommend it for the price and I'll be back."

"The room was fine, the lamps didn't work and the shower was leaking but not enough to where we couldn't shower. It's a fine place for the price, they were kind and helpful when we checked in and out, no one bothered us and it wasn't loud, we plan on staying here again for our next trip. The only reason I'm rating it three stars is really just because it's an old place that hasn't had renovations, but still a good place for the price."

"An experience where I can say you get what you pay for.....At first glance the room is nice just minor issues that could be resolved. As soon as I walked in the place smells of mold and cigarettes. I also called up TWICE to ask if my bathroom could be cleaned thoroughly. Needless to say it was not done. The first person said she would make a note. The 2nd time I called the lady said there was no note and they clean the bathrooms everyday. Clearly they aren't because my shower head had so much gunk on it!. I went to go askthe front for it to be cleaned. Each time I've went up there they have been quick to tell me no. It wasn't until I showed the clerk a picture of it that she said she would send someone to clean it. I also requested new sheets. For I traveled with my daughter an we got sand everywhere. I took the liberty to take the sheets off my bed and put them by the door, this is where I put all my dirty towels the entire time. I even left a note on my bed asking to get the sheets switched. I get back from our day of fun and the same sheets I left on the floor to be replaced were back on my bed. FROM THE FLOOR! When I went to the front desk and complained she said the guy says I am lying on him. Which is crazy because why would I lie about my discomfort!? I was very disappointed at how the owner tried to turn it on me instead of taking accountability for what had happened. Lastly there were roaches. And I HATE roaches. If I had went to sleep I wouldn't have seen the one crawling on the ceiling and eventually fell on my bed! Again you get what you pay for. Book to your discretion!"
