"I found two great counselors through this clinic, one for myself and one for my daughter. After 18 months, suddenly, I received an email from Atala staff stating my counselor would be leaving at the end of the month. When I saw my counselor next, she apologized for the way the information was shared, stating she wished she could have told me face to face. I found the email to be cold and a bit rude. I sensed some animosity towards my counselor for leaving. Then, two months later, I received a nearly identical email from Atala staff stating my adolescent daughter’s counselor would be leaving too. Red flags flew for me. I then connected the dots that neither counselor seemed happy in the work environment for several months. As I had been a patient for over a year, I noticed changes within the office’s work environment based on comments both counselors would make regarding office rules set by the new owner. I would not seek therapy from this office. Thankfully, I was able to follow our therapists to their new work locations. Both seem very happy now."
