"Ridiculously disappointed… First and foremost, I would like to start off by saying that the Doctors I saw here were very friendly, seem knowledgeable and seemed to actually care about their patients. I was given soda or drinks for long waits, brought back into the Doctors office and shown footage of my surgeries. I personally feel like they did the best they could with my situation. I was originally seen here back in February 2023 for a surgery. I had a clot in my thigh and was told that removing it and “possibly” placing a stent would help with the constant swelling and discomfort in my leg. I was told this would be an easy procedure and back to work within 1-3 days. So, I show up to their outpatient facility in Lakeland, firstly the nurses were nice, but the IV that was placed in my arm was incorrectly placed and was just pumping fluids into my arm. I noticed the swelling and began to get some irritation, when I mentioned something I was told that it was normal. A few hours go by, my arm is very noticeably swollen at this point and I have some minor discomfort. They moved me back to the operating room. This time it was a different nurse and I mentioned that my arm is getting more uncomfortable and that I had previously said something about it and it is getting worse. She looked and stated the obvious, that the IV was pumping the fluids into my arm, not my vein… So, fast forward the surgery was a breeze from that point. I was out like a light, but woke up a few times. There was 2 overlapping stents placed in my left thigh/groin region. From there I was out of the outpatient facility I believe 3 hours after surgery. Approximately 3-4 days after my surgery I had immense back pain and started to get pain and discomfort in my thigh. My entire inner thigh turned purple/red from my groin to my knee. I went to the Doctors at LVI and they stated the stent closed and clotted up again. They don’t know how but it did. I was recommended to admit myself through the ER and prep for another surgery. To which I did. This surgery was done through Lakeland Regional Hospital (which is another review and another terrible experience all in it’s own, not the surgery but the time staying there.). I was in and out, with some minor trouble, at first it all seemed fine. Then one week went by and my leg was still swollen and stiff, then another week. Then finally I got seen at LVI for my checkup and they decided to do an ultrasound, and discovered yet again. It closed up and clotted. So, a 3rd surgery was scheduled. This time it was a outpatient surgery through Lakeland Regional Hospital and went much smoother. In and out. Went home and it seems to have healed up to the best it can be. I honestly don’t know if it’s closed up again but the swelling and discomfort/pain are manageable at this point. At 29 years old, have 2 stents and a laundry list of meds and complications due to this. When just 3 years ago I had no issues at all. My biggest issue, has been the billing. It makes me question a lot of the charges I received and this whole experience makes me think of why I never go to doctors to begin with. It’s a practice that the patient usually knows not much about. A patient needs to put their trust fully into the doctor and his/her coworkers. I would go into LVI and would be told I need an Ultrasound today, then would be asked for anywhere from $150-$350. I understand in between surgeries and visits that an Ultrasound is needed to check. But I never understood why the prices would vary. I wouldn’t be made aware of these Ultrasounds until I showed up or spoke to the doctors, which could be annoying. Also, at some point I maxed my premiums and was no longer having to pay my deductibles. THIS OFFICE STILL TRIES TO CHARGE YOU DEDUCTIBLES. Regardless if you tell them you don’t need to pay. I’m owed $140 from April of 2023. It is now November 2023 and they are refusing to give me my funds. STAY AWAY AND SAVE YOURSELF! -not enough space to write a more thorough review…."

"Lakeland Vascular has a great team of clerks, aides, nurses and Doctors. I've always have been put on a high priority by this office and they have always stuck with me through the years. I needed certain boots to help improve my circulation and they had them donated to me and I use them everyday twice a day."

"I went to have sclerotherapy done on the spider veins I have on my legs. Paid 300$ the first time , only one leg was done. Second leg looked like Rodney didn’t even touch it. I said ok, it’s only $300. I’ll go back. First let me say, I barely have a bad case of spider veins to begin with. One treatment should have gotten the job done. So I went back, $600 later I still have spider veins on both legs!! The ones he did get have not returned. I am not getting more, that’s not the case. He is just not getting into the vein and is missing many. Getting home after leaving the clinic and looking in the mirror I noticed some weren’t even touched! Not sure if he’s trying to make the clinic money by having me return so many times. With the amount I had, twice should have been waaaay enough! Will never go back to Rodney nor would I ever recommend this place."

"This office is small intimate, the office personnel is very professional and proficient. The doctor that attended to me was extremely open and outgoing listening to everything that l was telling him about my condition plus all my past health history, he was thorough with his examination of me. The parking lot for this location is sufficient with wheelchair accessible parking as well as wheelchair entrance."

"In mid-november I had an exploratory preliminary pain management procedure. The staff was very kind and the doctor was very proficient. The doctor told me they would like to advance the procedure within the next couple of months if not sooner. In December they called me and they want to know how I was doing so I returned their call. However that's where it pretty much ended. I have been making return phone calls twice a week since November it is now February 2021. My back pain has returned and it's been a struggle for some time I really hope these people fix their communication issues I may have to seek someone else."
