"They currently have my father-in-law and LOST HIM. They said he was moved to ICU last night (no one called to notify my husband), so my husband called ICU—who said they don’t have him. After lots of runaround and being put on hold several times and hung up on, my husband finally got through to someone else who put him on hold again before finally telling him they found his dad. He was moved into a different room and they didn’t know why because the actual nurse was gone. We don’t know why he was in ICU, what time he got there, what time he was moved to a regular room, or how to get ahold of him. We live in a different state. I understand the people who answer the phones aren’t human voicemails, but incredibly important information like a sudden decline in health and overall location of a patient should be accurately communicated in a timely manner."
