"They tell you to arrive half an hour before your appointment. I came in at 3:00pm for a 3:30 appt and at 4pm i am still waiting for my exam. It's crowded and the staff seems annoyed by our presence. Medicine is a corrupt monopoly and this place is exemplary of all the things worng with our system. Here they care about the volume of insurance payments received, not the quality or standard of care offered to the patients"
"I have used Tower as a patient for several years due to insurance preference and my doctors are at TGH so have a My Chart account. The good news is your doctor can upload your orders and you book an appointment directly in MYCHART. The bad is if your doctor wants your test right away you can only book starting 7 days out in Mychart. I had to call Tower and was able to get the appointment at this location before the 7 days. I arrived at the office and it was hectic and crowded with people. I only had to wait for one person before checking in and the front desk people were great and prompt. I waited a bit for my technician and that is when there were issues. I had my orders with me and the technician took me to a waiting room in the back and kept asking me why my doctor wanted the test and was confused I had another test scheduled next year that was similar but not the same. She kept saying couldn't do it and I kept saying my doctor wanted it done. before my next day's appointment as treating an acute issue. I finally said I am not sure what you are asking me and asked if they could speak to my doctor's office and told me they could not. Coincidentally when the technician left the room my doctor's office called to remind me of my appointment and I was able to get the nurse on the line. When the technician returned put the call on speaker and asked the technician what information she needed as had doctor's nurse on the phone and then told me no problems. This confusion took 10 - 15 minutes and no insurance issues or anything - just odd. I would not want to return to this location and would avoid if possible. I was happy that test results loaded same night and doctor was able to view next day for my appointment. Please note parking seems adequate but not bountiful and some crazy drivers in the lot. Easy to find on Habana - recommend you reserve an appointment as others seemed to be waiting a long time."
"I had a mammogram at the Habana location today which took an hour and 40 minutes to get done. One of the mammogram machines was broken, but no one bothered to tell me or the other five mammogram patients of the wait time. Speaking with the other patients in the mammogram waiting area, some had been waiting an hour and a half. I finally walked around till I found one of the tech’s. She informed all of us that a machine was down and was surprised no one had told us what was going on. The technologist was kind, fast, knowledgeable, and gentle during the mammogram, which I greatly appreciate. She did a phenomenal job and also apologizing for the long wait. Tower radiology should implement a system to either tell the patient as they check in, about the wait time and let the patient decide if they want to stay or reschedule. T.R. could also take it upon themselves to call patients and ask some of them to reschedule for that day since they knew the machine was broken. I would have rescheduled if I had known it was going to take that long. The employees are doing the best they can on their limited staff at the front desk and are trying to keep up with the patient load. This is the inability of the administration team, anticipating problems that could occur and having a logical and needed plan in these type of situations."
"LONG REVIEW BUT PLEASE READ. I am going to break it down so you can get a comprehensive understanding of exactly what WILL happen to you if you go here. I call 6 different times, and am on hold for over an hour each time before giving up. I then show up in person to the overcrowded and clearly understaffed building, and am then told that the number provided isn’t even in service, and am given a new number to call. No making appointments in the building. I then sit on hold for another half an hour, and then I set up my appointment. I am told that I need to have a full bladder for this appointment due to the type of procedure I was getting. I was also told to print out my referral and bring it to the lobby. NOT “it needs to be printed”, but “YOU need to print it out.” I double check by saying “I need to print it out myself?” To which I am told that is the case. I get there, referral printed, having to pee but holding it, a half an hour before my appointment. I’m called to desk 5, to which i say “I’m not wearing my glasses, I can’t see I’m sorry” to which the front office lady repeats “DESK FIVE.” Which, go figure that doesn’t help. I figure it out myself and am told that I needed to have my referral printed BY my provider, and when I say “are you sure? That isn’t what I was told” I am met with “yes it is. Nobody told you to print it yourself.” And “I don’t know what THEY told you but that has nothing to do with me.” I then, on the verge of both tears and pissing myself, ask if I’ve now missed my appointment, to which I am told “well you’re gonna have to wait because you missed the time slot”, which is interesting because they could have just told me that a HALF AN HOUR PRIOR. So fine. I go and get it printed and I come back. Now I REALLY have to pee. I ask the doctor how long the procedure is, and oh boy you’re not gonna believe this. My bladder actually needed to be COMPLETELY EMPTY. The person on the phone was thinking of an entirely different procedure. So I literally risked urinating on myself for over an hour, for no reason!!! Yippee!!!!! I didn’t get to leave until around 3:30, when my appointment was an hour prior. This place deserves to be shut down, and the few staff there deserve a better job before it corrupts whatever good is still left in them. My only solace was the doctor, who was kind and thorough."
"Wow I had a 3:30 appt they tell me to come at 3, and it’s now 4:30 . I’m beyond pissed , I have to get my son at 5 . Why set a appt n sit for 2 hours ? I been to other tGH N Never had to wait this long . They need to do better with organizing . I felt like a walk in waiting hours . This is so unprofessional. I will NEVER COME HERe a mess! & when u ask they keep saying ur next and other people are called . Smfh If I could give a -10 I would !"
