Northwood Apartments

"Horrible place. Nothing works right, management is Horrible. Almost year after our apartment burned down and they still won't give me my deposit and a 500 dollar transfer fee I paid to move to another apartment before the fire, never moved to the apartment. Won't answer phone, won't call me back, paid everyone else back already and tries to blame the fore on us with no proof. The city and their own fire investigation came back inconclusive. They are wolves in sheep clothing"

"Not great for the price they offer. Management has been poor. Maintenance was ok to start but dropped off due to poor management. The apartments were extremely hot during summers even with our settings down to 71. The crew who inspected this did not take into account other factors and was absolutely misleading. Their thermomotors were literally inside the vents and told us everything was normal. I moved into a home -- yes a HOME and 76 degrees was way more comfortable for the price and comfort. Myself and my brother were near the roads and at close to 800 a month it was not worth the noise pollution. My vehicle got hit by someone and when asked to review the footage. The place has signs posted saying that everything is monitored but the only thing that is monitored is their front office. We complained at the growth of black mold in the vents and told us it was something else. I took it upon myself to take a sample and confirmed that not only was it black mold but it was other contaminants that the management refused to acknowledged. Myself and my brother also had a list of things that needed to be fixed and the two years we were there it never got done. Do not move here. This needs to be totally under new management who cares for the community. This complex has had over three fires happened and the management blames the tenants. Not to mention crime happening in the area. If you are paying over 600 a month for this you are over paying. There are better places in Columbus for this price in a much nicer neighborhood and at a fraction of energy costs. I am so glad we moved out. We have been loyal tenants who paid on time and took care of the place. But this apartment complex sucks compared the the price gouging these guys do. So glad we moved out."

"My friend lives there. I’ve almost fallen several times. This is absolutely a safety hazard very slippery when it’s wet. No safety paint used to differentiate the different levels of steps."

"If I could leave a zero I would. Northwood was by far the worst apartment I have ever lived in. The walls and ceilings are paper thin. It literally sounds like cattle being herding upstairs constantly. If you like sleep or peace I would advise you to look elsewhere. Some of the residents refuse to acknowledge the idea of mutual respect, and would blare music at ALL hours of the night. If it isn’t music then it’s domestic disputes. My apartment constantly smelled like weed and I don’t care if people smoke but it was a permanent smell in my apartment. It took an act of Congress to get something fixed it seemed like or at the minimum it would take multiple phone calls. I had water pouring from me bathroom ceiling multiple times. I remember reading that if you value sleep don’t move here on a previous review and I wish I would listened to it. I will at least say the ladies in the office were nice and allowed me to extend my lease 2 weeks while I waited for my house to be ready"

"Just horrible management and accountability. Maintenance in nonexistent out here, outdated complex. Didn't notify tenants of management changes and after that change the quality plummeted. Very disappointed and glad I moved on. I advice you stay away until they make internal changes. Don't recommend at all. Be advised this is a warning do not I say again do not stay there."
