"It’s been months and I still haven’t received my security deposit despite calling over a dozen times and even driving and hour out of my way to go in person! Also when we moved in we had roaches."

"SCAM!!!! I was denied an apartment here due to the 3rd party they use not being able to verify my income. I requested my admin fee back so that I can go elsewhere. I was told by their central office that I will be refunded and someone from the leasing office will contact me . After calling them every day and receiving the same responses, I took a visit to the leasing office. I was told at the time I applied, admin fees were non-refundable. As of Friday September 29th , the rule all of a sudden changed where now it’s “refundable “, but I can’t get my money back because of the timeframe I applied . This place is a SCAM!! I was told that the central leasing office is not supposed to talk to me about refunding me my admin fee, but they did. That’s not my fault and I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. UPDATE: I went to the office and spoke with the manager who reassured me that I would receive my administrative fee of $200 back through check by mail. It’s already crazy because when I applied , I didn’t mail them a check , they took the appropriate funds out of my checking account. Why do I have to wait 30 days for a check in the mail? It’s been over 30 DAYS , NO REFUND HAS BEEN ISSUED TO ME. I DID NOT RECEIVE A CHECK IN THE MAIL AND WHEN I CONTACT THE LEASING OFFICE , THEY LIE AND SAY THEY WILL HAVE SOMEONE CALL ME BACK BUT THEY DON’T!YOU HAVE TO KEEP CALLING AND CALLING AND IM SICK OF IT!! DON’T APPLY HERE BECAUSE CLEARLY THEY KEEP FUNDS EVEN WHEN THEY ACCEPT YOU AND THATS HOW THEY MAKE THEIR MONEY! AT THIS POINT I WANT MY $300 BACK !!!!"

"AVOID AVOID AVOID - This place is a dump. So many other nice places near by, do not waist your time with this place. They would charge for services they never deliver (trash valet never comes yet they charge) Place is infested with roaches - they charge for pest control but make it hard to get them to come The plumbing and sewage are bad - a nasty smells comes out few times a week. They simply say the building is old there is nothing they can do. AVOID AVOID AVOID - This place is a dump."

"I signed my lease December 5, 2022. By December 16, 2022, my physical move in date, my apartment had already flooded once. It would flood again an additional three times before they “fixed” the reason why the water was making its way into my unit. Well, here we are again, August 28-29, 2023, not even a year later and my unit has flooded twice in two days. I’ve reached out to the leasing office several times to have corporate management contact me to discuss this issue, with no responses received from corporate. The management company is Greystar Property Management. When speaking to the property manager on today, she made it seem like she’d done all that she could in the situation and that I should be grateful that other units experienced the same issue due to the consistent rain over the last few days. What an insult and joke. Water should never “intrude” into anyone’s home. It causes health issues with mold and mildew. Maintenance knows my name too well due all the issues I’ve had since moving in. I haven’t been compensated in anyway but yet I continue to be inconvenienced. When offered a new unit, after I’d moved in, I was offered a smaller unit, a unit at another property or a like model in the same complex on a higher floor, but I would have to pay more. Not to mention I was not offered any assistance with moving or moving cost. This property and its management has taken me for a ride, while receiving my monthly rent on time. Please do not move here. Save yourself the hassle and frustration! They have foundation issues, so any terrace level unit will probably have water intrusion issues. Update: I was allowed out of my lease by management. However they are still billing me for rent despite moving out weeks ago. The unit, 916, is already posted to be leased again. Be aware that this unit has flooded multiple times."

"I lived in Avana Powers Ferry for a year. Living in an apartment can present its challenges, but I had an overall good experience. Things started out rocky with the upstairs neighbors always being loud with everything they did. Once those things got rectified I really have no complaints. All my concerns and issues were always addressed. Also. these apartments are located in a great convenient location. I would still be a resident but I purchased a house because I needed more space."
