Reviews
"I don't often like to leave negative reviews, but I felt compelled to do so in this case. Our job was riddled with installation issues, communication issues, etc. We contracted with Flooring Atlanta to have our floors replaced upstairs (along with the stairs themselves), which were carpeted at the time. We debated between hardwood and LVP, and ultimately settled on LVP after a discussion with the general manager, Al Brickman. The LVP was installed on June 8, 2022. As far as the product itself, it's fine. Certainly not as good as hardwood, but that's not something you should expect with LVP. The biggest issue at the time of the installation was that the LVP recommended to us was a horrible option for the stairs. I cannot emphasize that enough. First off, it looked horrible on the stairs, but more importantly, it was incredibly fragile and dangerous. Almost immediately, the stair noses on the LVP began to snap and create dangerous plastic shards to step around. In addition to the stairs, there were issues with LVP planks separating from each other in the hallway, reinstallation of the balusters, etc. I discussed this with Al Brickman (GM) initially over text. This was in June of 2022. Unfortunately, I don't have the texts anymore because it's been over 1.5 years at this point. I told him LVP should never have been considered for the stairs, and that we needed to install hardwood there instead. I continued to exchange text messages with Al, simply begging to get a response and get these hardwood stairs installed. After 9 months of no action, I moved my communication to email. I emailed on 3/8/23 asking when this was going to be completed. He responded on 3/10 that he would come by soon, but he was waiting for samples. After no further action, I followed up on 3/24. On 3/27, I sent a follow up with photos. He said they were still waiting on samples. On 4/19, I followed up again. He responded that he wanted to set up a meeting, which he subsequently canceled. I reached out again on 5/2. He said "next week." On 5/8, I hadn't heard anything and followed up. On 5/11, I followed up again. He said he would show up the next day. On 5/12, he came over to show some samples of other LVP options. Again, I had already told him we needed hardwood on those stairs. The LVP just was not an option here. So he said he would have his guy come out to do the hardwood stairs. After three more follow ups, he finally sent someone out on 5/30 to install the hardwood. Now that this was done, we needed to get the balusters reinstalled since they were removed previously. I followed up on 6/9 and 9/20. Finally, after multiple follow ups, the balusters were reinstalled on 10/13. The final issue that I was really pressing about was the separation of the LVP planks in the hallway. It seems like they just weren't installed correctly. This doesn't appear to be an expansion/contraction issue. The pictures are attached for you to see. I followed up on 11/19 about this issue, and then again on 12/6. Al Brickman told me on 12/6 that someone would get in touch with me to schedule fixing those. It has officially been 2 months since I got that email, and I have received no word. I've basically given up on ever getting a satisfactory install of this floor. It has been over 1.5 years that we have been dealing with this. Honestly, I was probably far too forgiving of the delays and poor communication. I try to avoid conflict in these situations as much as possible, because I know things are difficult right now and everybody is going through their own stuff. Still, I don't think it was too much to ask to have these issues resolved by now. The photos I have attached show the initial LVP that was installed on the stairs (which cracked within days of installation and was a massive fall hazard), as well as the look of the balusters with LVP. It will also show the "final product" of the top step with the LVP flooring, the separating LVP planks, and an example of some of the chipping from edges of the LVP planks in the hallway."
"If you have hours and days of free time to make calls and send emails to resolve problems then this is your company to hire for your flooring needs. Unprofessional staff to say the very least. Phone calls and emails are seldom returned and problems are turned from days into weeks and then months. After the first month, you shake your head and ask yourself what was I thinking? At least at the big box stores, my calls are answered and my issues are resolved. I will gladly pay a little more for the after-sale support at the big box stores. And yes, I am sure I am posting this under the correct company name and not confusing this company, (Flooring Atlanta), with another company, in the Atlanta area with a similar name but the title is reversed. There are too many people passing the buck on issues and this company is purposely set up this way to discourage returns or refunds on mistakes for which they are responsible."
"The team at Flooring Atlanta, Kennesaw was great to work with from beginning to end. Our new flooring looks great! We highly recommend them!"
"Would never give them my cent again. Floor installed 3 years ago… come to find out never leveled the floor… floor went bad… manufacturer stayed by their product and sent replacement floor… told me the reinstall will be around $550… came to $1480… and all of this after waiting about 6 month to get the reinstall… not a dime again…"
"My husband and I are really happy with our new floors! We had some plumbing issues which caused us to have our floors replaced and the carpet in our bedroom replaced. Pam was awesome and very helpful! She helped guide us to a great color and type of hardwood. She also really was very helpful when explaining the product and the differences between them all (for hardwood and carpet) Pam and Juan both really worked with us to help keep the cost down since this wasn't something we planned. Not only was everyone very friendly in the store but the delivery guy was friendly and so were the guys who installed the floor. They knocked it all out fairly quickly and did a great job! They know what they are doing! I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for new floors. You can't beat the prices and the service."
