"Do not leave your pet at this place. I was hired by the owner to install an epoxy flake floor. He paid the initial 25% down payment and I ordered the materials and got to work grinding and prepping the floors right away. I was bothered at first that he refused to shut the buisness down for a few days to get this done but I was able to do it in two seperate sections to keep his company im buisness. After completion of the first section he was very satisfied and I let him know that due to cold weather and the slab being so cold I needed him to be extremely careful for the following 24 to 48 hours allowing the top coat to fully cure. As I started grinding the second half in prep for the epoxy flake I noticed water running through the wall. I stopped the grinder and walked next door and the man was pressure washing his FRP walls and letting all the dirt and grime settle into the floor I had just top coated. The damage was done and I continued to complete the other side and told him we would get it taken care of as far as fixing the first section he destroyed. During the period of working there I would say he had 10 to 12 dogs straying around in random areas where ever he felt he could leave them. When I returned to fix the area he had ruined there were probably 50 to 75 dogs crammed into the space and they were not even concerned about cleaning up the urine and poop scattered everywhere. At this point I made it clear that to continue I needed to be paid and he replied he did not have his check book and would have it the next day. At this point I knew for sure this was a scamish operation he was trying to run and of course when I came back to get a check to do any further work he did not have it. My buisness taking a major hit is not the point in this. People need to be aware of this and the scam this man is running! Later he claimed the floor was too hard to clean and when it was bare concrete he could just scrape the floor and be done with it. At a total loss of why the guy would allow me to continue the second section if he was unhappy with the first? I have accepted my loss and its unfortunate but my main reason in this review is to warn potential clients that consider dropping their beloved pet off here! If you do ask him for a walk through and see the conditions for yourself!"
"After I saw Juan’s review I decided to leave one as well. As a former employee who worked here a few years ago, this place needs to be shut down. I would NEVER EVER bring my dogs here. I don’t want to say too much but there is no daycare. Your dog just sits in a crate all day and goes to the bathroom maybe twice a day in an disgusting indoor run. The dogs don’t play together AT ALL. This place is a complete scam and cash grab for the owners. There is apparently a new owner but the website still has the old owners name on it. Most of the good reviews are from her family. I have worked at two other dog kennels since, and they were WAY BETTER. Also this place is completely understaffed and dangerous. When I worked there only one person would be in the facility per shift at a time (which is dangerous for the dogs and the employees). My boss didn’t want to pay multiple staff at once because she’s cheap. Please don’t bring your pets here."
"This place was horrible! I say HORRIBLE! They should go out of business. I left my two dogs there because every other place was full and they are close to us. We walked inside and it smelled like urine. I did not think much of it because the daycare is filled with dogs. They took my dogs but pulled them. I told them to stop but the lady only knew some english. I went to pick them up the week after and my god!! My first dog had fleas all over him! My second dog must’ve laid down in urine. I was disgusted. They didn’t even bother to clean them up. I asked for a refund and the rude lady refused to give my money. I told her I was never dropping my dogs here again! I slammed the door on the way out. If you have the chance, DO NOT GO HERE!"
"I have been going to Marietta Doggy Daycare (MDD) for many years. They recently changed owners, and I am happy with the changes, and I think that Thomas, the new owner, is looking to make positive changes. Please don't be swayed by the most recent few negative reviews. I think what has happened here is that some prior staff have taken the opportunity to blast this new owner, and I find this unfair. Thomas agreed to give me some credit on a package that had expired under prior ownership. He didn't have to, and there was little to no paperwork, but he worked with Ashley (prior owner) to establish what services I still had on record, which I appreciated. As a one-woman business owner myself, I am especially cognizant of what can happen when a less-than-positive review infiltrates the others. There is literally nothing you can do. Marietta Doggy Daycare isn't some multinational organization; it is a solo owned and operated business with the goal of providing our pups with a safe, affordable, and fun environment when we can't. I recently went to visit family out of the country, and like most pet parents, it was tough to board my guys, but Thomas and staff sent me a video and a couple of pics which I enjoyed :). Bruno and Jacques were happy to see me, and they looked healthy and well taken care of. If you are a past client, give them a second chance to make a first impression. If you are not yet an MDD client but are weighing your options, I would recommend that you give Thomas and crew a chance. My dogs were happy, and therefore so was I."
"My dog absolutely loves it here! The staff is super friendly and the prices are some of the best I've found. The location is easy to find and has great parking. It's close enough to downtown Marietta that you could drop your pooch off for a day of exploring."
