Shane's Rib Shack

"So the original Shane's BBQ shack. I've eaten a couple of these in malls but I've never had an opportunity to go to the first one. Today. Well in Stockbridge have an opportunity to drive over and enjoy a quick lunch at this barbecue place has been here since 2002. It's a real country place. You place your order when you walk in and pay. Get your drink and have a seat and the server will bring it up to you. They've got some real nice seating and a nice area that's screened in. Or you can go to the old original shack area and have a seat. Or you can sit outside. I guess you could also in your car. So I want a different ways to sit and eat and enjoy this barbecue. It is good. Q. It isn't the best I had is far better than the worst I've had. I did enjoy their Brunswick stew. My friend had the big daddy pork sandwich. I had the lunch chicken tenders. Everything was very good. After speaking with some friends they told me that their burger is fantastic. So next time that's what I'm having"

"Our order was delivered from this location yesterday. It included Texas Toast, well that didn't happen, how about we were given hamburger buns and they didn't bother to toast them. When did these turn into Texas toast! I understand things run out, slices of white bread would have been a better substitute. To me this meant "oh well whatever" as long as they get bread. I will say we prefer the ribs without the BBQ sauce, and the Brunswick Stew is good (first time having it). Shane's, you should give us some type of refund for giving us hamburger buns, that sucked big time!"

"We moved away from Georgia in 2020 and this is one of the places we missed. So on this trip back, we made sure to stop. I ordered the smoked buffalo wings with fries and Brunswick stew. The wings & fries did not disappoint but I'm not a big fan of their Brunswick stew. I am a big fan of their slaw and that's what I should have ordered instead. We enjoyed our visit back to Shane's and it reminded me how Shane's is still a great value in this ever increasing world we live in. Great food at a great price is hard to beat."

"I usually don’t write reviews but the last couple of times I’ve been to this Shane’s it hasn’t been anything short of disappointing. I used to work here so I am aware of the standards that the restaurant sets with its service and food. The last two times in particular have been bad experiences. I ordered food from the app which has never been and issue. I do curbside pick up and I get there, put the spot I am in, and wait for them to bring out my food. I wait 25 minutes. So I go in and they tell me they didn’t receive my order however I got the loyalty points for it. So I’m assuming they may have accidentally given it to someone which is fine. However I had to wait another 25 minutes to get my food, to which the portion size was small. I went again today and I got my food but they forgot sauces, and the food size was even more disappointing than last time. If you are paying about $10 for a meal you should at least get some value for money. The servers were not particularly friendly either. Overall I’m not one to complain about food or restaurants in general but I’ve been disappointed these last couple of times I’ve been to this location. The pictures below were the last order I got. The food tasted fine, at least the food that was edible and not just crunchy bits passed of as a “boneless wing”. I ordered the 10 piece boneless wing and as you can see in the top right of the picture it’s basically all end bits of the batter. The only pieces that were actually chicken were barely big enough for me to pick up with my fork. I hope they improve the standards at this location but for now I don’t see myself coming back to this one anytime soon."

"Ribs were old & cold! I called them to avoid making a review to see what could be done about the ribs I received being cold & she told me nothing basically & that they checked the other food & it was hot. I’m not dumb and trust I know fresh food. These were not fresh at all! Instead of fixing the mistake or giving fresh food she said she couldn’t do anything about it! I always order from here & never had a problem until today but now I’ll never order again based off the customer service alone! You can tell that these definitely wasn’t fresh!"
