"This morning I called to place a cake order with Publix bakery in mirror lake. I told the bakery the details of the cake. 10” round cake. Vanilla, with cream cheese icing. I told her that we want flowers on the cake and that the whole cake would be the same color off white or beige. I told her that we didn’t care about the flowers just as long as the outside of the cake and trim design were all the same color (was trying to give them some freedom for design because we are not picky.) I told her that this is a GENDER REVEAL cake and I told her the color icing on the inside. During this phone call this lady seemed like she didn’t care and wasn’t concerned which had me worried but I put trust in them. She just about let me off the phone until I stopped and said don’t you need a name for the cake? So I give her my sisters name for pick up and MY phone number. My sister (to be mom) decides to call Publix to confirm the time for tomorrow. When she gets on the phone, they explain to her that they don’t have any details and start questioning her about the details. She is confused because she knew that all Of this was given by me 8 hours earlier. Even though she was confused she lets them know, “DO NOT TELL ME THE ICING ON THE INSIDE because this is my gender reveal cake”. They continue asking her the details about the outside of the cake, like the flowers, icing, and color…… WHICH WAS ALREADY ALL GIVEN BY ME approximately 8 hours earlier. Before my sister gets off the phone thinking how odd, this should already been given especially for a pickup time of 10:00 am the next day, the bakery then blurts out the color of the icing on the inside. My sister hangs up in shock because they just ruined her own gender reveal for her. She calls me bawling her eyes out. I immediately am enraged because I gave ALL OF THESE DETAILS WITH MY PHONE NUMBER TO RITA. When I called them to complain, Karen answered the phone. I explained to her what happened and she immediately accused me that I just have not given them because they didn’t have it. I asked Karen why didn’t they call me then? The cake was supposed to be ready by 10:00 am the next day- why did you not give me a call with the number that was given to confirm if they somehow mis wrote or lost the details?? Karen offered no apology, no sympathy and in her actual words she said to me “well cats out of the bag now, what do you want us to do.” Uhm, own up to your actions, apologize and maybe try to offer something to help the situation???? You just ruined a couple gender reveal, is there not compassion or sympathy? Instead she was cold and said to call Nathan tomorrow. Not only am I furious with what happened, Karen offered nothing to help the situation at all over something that was 100% completely their fault. This has been a horrible experience that we can not turn around."

I understand they are busy but the way he answered my questions had a vibe” I don’t have time for that”. Almost like whatever . Too bad because they do a great job . Probably my last time ordering anything from them if I have to deal with that guy again."
