"Not recommend if you're neurodivergent. Listens to respond not hear. I struggle with verbal responses especially when I feel rushed. Went with specific concerns, backdoor prescribed a type of bp med. If I take them I risk falling on my face with a client's dog going down with me. My PCP and I have a plan for my bp after other things are addressed. Also felt like like maybe I was too lower class to be there."
"I’m so tired of doctor offices thinking patients have all the time in the world to wait. It’s so disrespectful. My appointment was at 1. I arrived early and was put in a room at 1, but then I was left there for over 30mins! As of right now. When I went out to ask if I was forgotten or if there’s just another patient the doctor was with, I was given massive attitude like I was being impatient. As the patient, I’m not only using my time to be here but also paying, yet somehow I get to be treated poorly. It’s not too much to ask for respectfulness and common courtesy to let the patient know if things may take a bit longer than normal. And of course, it’s not that busy, so there’s no excuse for staff being so rude. If I wasn’t in pain myself, Id walk out and find another female gynecologist. Then Dr. Pettigrew came in. Was also quite rude and dismissive of my pain. I was given a slip for a 3d mammogram and ultrasound. When I went to the front to make the appointment, the girls at the front were clueless what I should do with mammogram slip. Literally said “you probably have to bring it somewhere”. Someone first said, “Bring it to your pharmacy”. A mammogram!! Needless to say, I left in tears. Disregarded from the start. Looking for an office that’s cares."
"I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Edwards and his staff. Dr. Edwards is very intelligent and very experienced. He doesn’t play games with patient safety. He invites patient input, and still balances his duty as a physician to communicate what is best for the baby and mother. Because safety is his priority, he won’t hesitate to have difficult conversations if necessary to protect the wellbeing of the baby (such as healthy weight gain, risk of gestational diabetes, etc). Now it seems common to see whatever OB is in the office, and to deliver with whoever from the practice is on call. This isn’t the case with Dr. Edwards. I saw him and only him for every doctors apt and he delivered my baby when the time came. I never felt like I was going through a revolving door of doctors at each appointment like I have at other offices. The office is great about keeping appointments on schedule. I still always had time to ask questions when I got to a room or address whatever I needed. I think the biggest compliment to Dr. Edwards was that while I was in recovery every single nurse, when I told them it was Dr Edwards who delivered my baby had the same things to say... “he’s particular about his patient’s care, but he’s the best so he’s earned that.” or “Dr. Edwards is the only one I let deliver my own babies.”"
"I love the staff at this office! Everyone is very friendly! Dr. Pettigrew is great and very knowledgable. She was awesome during my pregnancy! I highly recommend this office!"
"I had a terrible experience with Dr. Edwards. I moved here from Indiana in March and got a yeast infection in June. Indiana is not humid so my body is not used to all the sweating. I explained this to him at my first visit. Dr. Edwards did not swab me but instead just looked st diagnosed yeast infection. His nurse stated they don't do swabs because insurance doesn't cover it. I don't believe that since my old obgyn in Indiana always did a swab and I never paid. I ended up getting symptoms of a bacterial infection and went back to Dr. Edwards to get some relief. He ignored my description of the bacterial infection and stated it was just yeast infection and my diet is giving me yeast infections. I do a low card high protein diet already but he said I could only eat 40 grams of carbs a day. I'm shocked because I've never been told this by an obgyn and I've been doing this diet for a year. After begging for a swab, he did it and found two strains of bacteria. After taking two heavy antibiotics, I got a yeast infection, which is typical. I called to make another appointment and his nurse stated I probably have diabetes and should get tested before I came back. I am very frustrated with this doctor. I feel like he doesn't listen and makes assumptions about diabetes and diet. I want to reach out so this does not happen to other women because this sucks."
