"I’ve been going to upstate OBGYN now for almost a year and I absolutely love it. I’ve seen both Dr. Heather Hoy and Celeste Sitton and there both amazing. I currently see Celeste and she is absolutely wonderful. She is hands down one of the best APRN’s I’ve ever seen. She always has a smile on her face and she has a way of making me feel very comfortable with talking to her about my concerns. I’ve never had to wait longer than 10 minutes in the waiting room and the front desk gets you checked in pretty quickly. The nurses are very friendly and the entire team seems to be very respectful and accommodating. I highly recommend this office."
"Really debating on my first appointment here. staff was already rude when I called in to confirm appointment! and reviews tell me all I needed to know experience wise so I’ll be doing the rest of my appointments back home in North Carolina!!!! I don’t need the stress or attitude giving from anybody."
"Don’t let the bad reviews scare you away- I’ve had an excellent experience here so far. Yes, I do see a different practitioner every time BUT, they’ve all been thorough and caring. They all have been familiar with my history before seeing me which is rare these days. Wait times have been short. After getting my medical records I got an appointment quickly. Receptionists answer when you call in. Nurses respond to questions in mychart within a day. Highly Recommend!"
"my first pregnancy in 2021-22 I went through Carolina OB/GYN and delivered at Spartanburg Regional. I was pregnant with twins and high risk. I had a lot of issues throughout my pregnancy and always felt like the doctors at Carolina OB/GYN dismissed my concerns. The month prior to delivering my boys, I had been to labor and delivery between 4 to 5 times the week after Christmas and they dismissed me every time saying that what I was experiencing was normal and sent me home. I was basically begging the doctors to take the boys a couple weeks early because my body was in so much pain and I felt like something was not right, my body was trying to tell me that it was done and no one would listen to me. Fast forward to a couple weeks later, January 9, we went in for our scheduled C-section and found out our Baby B had passed away 24-48 hours before. The Dr who helped us with infertility, Dr Eastin, he’s no longer with the practice, but when I went in for my six week check up, I spoke to him and he didn’t even turn to look at me or speak to me at all after knowing what happened with our boy. We found out we were pregnant with a surprise rainbow baby in October 2022 and we knew we wouldn’t be going through Spartanburg Regional again because of the trauma we experienced. We chose Upstate OB based on the positive things other moms had said about the practice and hoped for the best. Upstate Maternal Fetal Medicine was also amazing for us, since I was high risk this pregnancy also. We delivered our baby girl June 2 2023 at St Francis Eastside. Every concern I ever had in her pregnancy, they worked miracles to get me in for extra appointments if needed. They always made me feel like they thoroughly listened to all of my concerns and I never had to question that they wanted what was best for me and baby. It’s almost like those doctors intuition was just better and spot on because you could tell they actually cared about their patients. We never had to wait long periods of time at our appointments—at the previous OB we would be stuck there for hours and were even told once that we were forgotten about because we weren’t checked in properly by office staff. All the negative things and nightmares we went through with our first pregnancy—take all that and flip it—that was our experience with Upstate OB and St Francis Eastside. We could not have asked for better Doctors. I had a C-section with baby girl too, and was terrified to the point of tears to go in that OR again because of the trauma of losing our boy—Dr Hood, who delivered our girl, stood right in front of me and held my hand the entire time they were giving me the spinal to prep for surgery, and I was just so moved by that. I’ve never encountered a doctor so kind and compassionate. They got our girl here safely and she is perfectly healthy, and I will forever be grateful for how much they listened to every concern I had no matter how small and how careful they were my entire pregnancy knowing what we went through with the previous one. If we ever have another baby, hands down, I will 310% be going back to Upstate OB."
"I was at a different practice and was super upset with the doctor I had for this pregnancy… every visit I left crying and super uncomfortable with knowing labor was right around the corner! I found this doctor and transferred at 34 weeks pregnant and I was terrified of having a bad experience. Then I read all the reviews on here and REALLY started to panic.. but the reviews on here are NOTHING compared to the experience I had. First, they were able to get me switched and seen within a week or so. Which was amazing! And the wait time really isn’t that bad, I show up early to all my appointments and they see me within 5-10 mins of being there. Second, all the staff is SUPER friendly and haven’t given me an attitude or been rude or anything like the reviews I’ve read. Third, the doctors are so caring and actually make you feel heard. They listen to any concerns you have and answer them to the best of their abilities. I love that they are humble, and give their best knowledgeable answer to whatever your concerns or questions are! ( with pregnancy and birth nothing is ever set in stone or factual usually…. Everyone is different) but they are so caring and make me feel like a person instead of a number. So if you’re looking for a doctor that actually cares about you and your concerns and doesn’t just rush you in and out then this is the place for you!! :)"
