"I had Alan call me before he came to my house with my order and soon as he got out of his truck he was smiling then he greeted me with a handshake and introduced himself to me from beginning to end his service was superb and he represented this company well and I think the company should know that when they send someone out to customer homes the driver are the face of the company and he deserves a special recognition thank you for your service sir"
"One of the worst LTL companies to use on a professional level. You tell them what time your shipping hours are and they say okay not a problem we'll be there by that time but once that time actually rolls around they tell you they'll be there an hour and a half to three hours later and that's just the way it is because they wrote down the wrong close time, even after you told them you're shipping hours twice last week. Also their operations manager Daynon is extremely unprofessional and laughs when you tell him about your complaint with the company then hangs up on you because you expect them to make the situation right. I am now on a campaign to Blacklist this company from any more shipments as long as he is still the operations manager. I'm also going to make a formal complaint with corporate"
"Shipment was picked up in CT on 7/29. As of last night, on the dock in Greenville, SC. They have our hours of operation and was noted that the shipment would be here today between 8am and 3pm. I called at 10am to make certain they understood that we would be closed at 3pm. They assured me the driver was leaving at 11am (?? - for a shipment scheduled to arrive between 8am and 3pm?? SMH) . As of 2:30pm, I called to advise once again as the tracking info now noted 3pm to 6pm arrival!!! WHAT? The lady called me back to advise the driver would in fact not be there as he had several other stops and was 15 miles away as of 2:50pm. Was told that "hopefully, it will be there before 3pm tomorrow"!!!! I can assure you, if it isn't here tomorrow in the am, I will have it sent back to CT! SAIA service is horrible."
"I have had the displeasure of working with SAIA on many different shipments. There has NOT been a single instance where they have delivered one of our products to our customers on time. They may appear to be the most cost effective option, but save yourself time, money and frustration and use someone else."
"I did not have a say in who delivered my table, but if I had, I would have not chosen this company. The manufacturer sent the table out on a Thursday, and said it should be delivered in 3 business days and that I would receive a call from the shipping company to arrange drop off. By Tuesday of the following week, I still had not heard anything about the table. I reached out to the manufacturer, they reached out to the trucking company (Saia). Wednesday at noon, I received a call from Saia to arrange my delivery for the following day. When I called back on my lunch break (at 1:30pm), the operator told me that Tim, the truck driver, was done for the day, and I would have to call back the next day between 3am and noon. When I called back the next day at 8am, Tim was done arranging for the day and told me I would have to wait until Friday for my delivery. He gave me a window of 10-noon. My husband rearranged his work schedule to be home in that window. By 11:45am, the shipment had not arrived. My husband called Tim, who said he would not be there before 2. My husband, who had to get to work, had to drive 15 minutes out of his way to meet Tim at a random grocery store to pick up the table and put it in his truck. And the entire time Tim was completely unapologetic. We were both very unimpressed with the interaction. And if we had a choice in the matter, we would not choose this company to ship with."
