"No customer service at GSP or corporate - AVOID! Hertz is the embodiment of a zombie company. Made a reservation and made the mistake of assuming no charge to add a spouse as driver. Hit with $11.99 per day charge for additional driver. Was told only Hertz Gold Rewards got free spouse as driver. We were in a bad spot, as it was a holiday weekend and dubious we could get another vehicle elsewhere, so rented and thought we'd call later and maybe get a break...no such luck. Hoped in spirit of customer service and us now signing up, they'd not charge the fee. WRONG! Many calls to GSP and Hertz corporate. Meanwhile, got a Hertz Gold Membership; called local desk and finally got someone who said the manager would straighten it out on returning car. DId not happen. I tried repeatedly by email, phone and contact form to reach Hertz corporate and Rewards desk - NO answers to calls, NO responses to email. Finally, contested the charge with credit card company. TO complicate things, then apparently there was a mix up with Hertz and the credit card company and Hertz thought we were contesting an extra day that we rented, NOT the week of extra driver charges. Credit card company gave a chargeback and I thought it was done. Two months later, I got an email from Hertz (first sign of life from corporate since this began). No explanation, just an invoice for the amount of the chargeback. I emailed back asking why they sent it...NO response. Two months after that email...I got a collections agency letter for the chargeback amount! NO ONE from Hertz corporate ever responded to any of my attempts to reach them. In a last attempt to get some customer service, I called GSP again. Rep pulled up the account and said I didn't pay for extra day of rental, thus the charge. I explained I did actually pay at when rental was returned, but the chargeback for extra driver charge was wrong. Rep told me I didn't have Rewards number at reservation (nevermind I was told it would be addressed at return) so there would be no adjustment, and IF I HADN'T HEARD BACK FROM CORPORATE, THEN THAT WAS MY ANSWER. Avoid Hertz...there is literally no customer service on local or corporate level."
"Car Selection is very Poor at the time of pick up but where they lack in selection is made up by the sweet lady behind the counter helping you. She did all she could to accommodate me and wasn't trying to shove me away like 90% of rentals places I go to do. Cars aren't super clean but they are a high volume store so I'll give it a pass. I'm happy with what I got and the quality of service I received! (Add Pictures so people can get a sense of the selection quality)"
"Let's put it this way. I rent from Hertz 25-40 times a year. I avoid this location. Always rude, never have the right car, I was told by the manager that they are not even ordering luxury eventhough they allow you to book one. Same owner has other locations and they are not as bad."
"Didn't have my reserved vehicle type, and when I went to return my vehicle (in the early morning, later that week - anticipating a key drop box) a woman with no employee ID walked up to me from a different spot in the garage and asked for my keys. I politely stated that I'd like to confirm she was an employee and get a receipt. Huge amounts of attitude followed."
"Had reserved with Dollar which went out of business without telling us. We finally stumbled upon Hertz. They say they inherited Dollar's resvs. No one told us. They try to give us a huge truck. We ask if there is anything else available. He says no. We cancel. The next person walks up and he offers them their choice of cars. Whaaa!!?"
