"Beautiful hotel. Love the period charm. Location was perfect for what I wanted to see and do. Staff was outstanding. Very helpful and friendly. Kendall was so very helpful and warmhearted."
"So we just loved this hotel more like a B & B! Everything from staff who were so nice & professional; to very good free breakfast & evenings wine/ cheese! The staff was also very helpful with ideas for lunch & dinner & tours!"
"The only good things about this hotel is the location to Charleston Downtown and the staff otherwise the hotel is old, worn and run down. Was expecting the feel of this hotel to be period and charming but it’s just unkempt and outdated . The room a junior suite was super noisy as it’s right next to the front desk. Would not recommended for the price I paid over $400 a night. At most it’s worth $150"
"Room was very dated but not historical. Furnishings and fittings are from the 1980’s. Room was very dark. Noise was awful- we were on the ground floor and had noise from front desk and lobby all day. Could hear talking neighbors very clearly. Paid over $400 a night and this hotel is 2 star at best and not a boutique hotel. Couch wornout, no outlets near the bed, mattress old and sunken. Breakfast equal to a Hampton Inn. Only positives were the polite front desk staff and the location. We would never stay here again and would not recommend it."
"This hotel is excellent. The room was great— very large, clean, in great condition, and had well- functioning AC. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The price was fair. The morning breakfast was great. The hotel is very unique and beautiful. Convenient location too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!"
