Residence Inn by Marriott Savannah Airport

"We stayed here twice a few years ago (2020 and 2021) and were happy with the experiences. So when we needed a place, booked this without a second thought. Then I started reading the recent reviews and was surprised and worried. The rooms were clean so my biggest concern was alleviated. However, there is definitely wear and tear which has been outlined elsewhere. Does not make you feel great; but worn is not the same as unclean. Front Desk staff was FANTASTIC. And that does go a long way for me when you are checking in late, after a long drive."

"Hotel was clean, staff was nice, but overall the hotel definitely needs to be updated. In the room, there was no where to plug USB into, which at every other Marriott property I've stayed at in the past 2-3 years I've become accustom to not having to bring a charging block to plug into a wall in order to charge my phone. The TV was not only very outdated compared to other Marriotts, but I noticed when I tried to log into my own accounts to watch Netflix, YouTube, Etc. Someone's account was still connected, even though it's supposed to clear and wipe all accounts logged in after check out. I decided not to log in on my accounts because that was a red flag. Fitting for an airport location, whenever the air conditioning turned on it was loud and sounded like a plane getting ready to take off..."

"Spent one night on our way up from FL to NC. Checked in on Christmas Day and Stephen at the front desk was beyond pleasant and welcoming. The hotel itself is about what you would expect. Nothing more nothing less. But was a nice rest top on our drive with a toddler and dog."

"Stephen at the front desk is an amazing guy and went above and beyond to answer questions. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired. The nightstands ended up pushing out from the bed and the carpet and wall behind them was disgusting. The disposer in the sink didn’t work. The tile floors were greasy. At night there were guys that would hang out in the parking lot and play really loud music and smoke extreme amounts of marijuana. This place really needs to get it together."

"The employees at the front desk were always nice but it doesn’t make up for bad room service, room was subpar clean, laundry room and machines dirty with only 2 out of 4 machines working, work out room missing weights, bad planning to clean carpet when room is occupied, and kitchen cookware missing with dirty drawers. The going rate for the room was around $200/day. I had people in my class complain about their experiences also. They ended up checking out and checking in elsewhere. I move to TownePlace down the street and had a much better experience. The location is good but that’s about it."
