"I don't even know where to start. I'm renting a house in the Harrisburg area. It's not too bad but it's definitely not great. Constant yelling from surrounding neighbors, the closest places to get food are two family dollars and a bunch of fastfood restaurants, litter EVERYWHERE in the alleyway right next to my place, the people that live in the area, the smell, etc. Guess how much rent is! $934. That includes fees from services I never used. The place was advertised in the $800s. The inside of the house had and still has damages. Loose floorboard cautions, VERY loud central air and heat, my toilet leaks from the bottom every time I flush, threshold to the back door leaking a lot of water in when it rains, and the list goes on from there with quite a few miscellaneous problems. My first month here I noticed the biggest cockroaches I've ever seen, NOT PALMETTO BUGS, roaches (the kind you see in horror movies), and RATS. I heard bumping and thumping in the attic and didn't know what it was until I heard the squeaks. They have to be pretty big too. Worst part? No attic access, so nobody can fully handle the problem. I've mentioned a list of these problems to my property manager, a couple times but to no avail. Augusta Rentals homes idea of fixing my floorboards is in the picture posted. I'm worried about these floors giving in and my daughter being harmed, or myself. Since being here they have tacked on $600 additional in fees for being late on rent, and threatened me with eviction. I work at a fine dining restaurant and I definitely don't make chump change, but the price of living has gotten absolutely ridiculous and I've not yet figured how to budget for my new rental home yet. I've asked about possibly relocating to a more affordable home and was told I'd have to pay 2 months rent to terminate the lease. I've been duped and PLEASE do NOT listen to the positive reviews for Augusta Rental Homes."
