Sheraton Augusta Hotel

"Shannon at the front desk is amazing!! She greeted me with a smile and made me laugh when I was having a bad day. She also recognized I am a loyal member of Marriott and repeated guest at the hotel. She is very professional and efficient. All the staff are courteous and professional. This hotel is the only one in Auguat that has Southern hospitality with a Northern charm."

"Let me start off by saying I love Marriottt and I have always loved Sheraton. This stay was a little different this one wasn't our typical vacation stay this was a trip for my daughter's grandmother, whose funeral was on Saturday. After the memorial service I promised my Neice she could go swimming with us. However she is wheelchair bound, we noticed the pool was not wheelchair accessible. The lift was not available. We also noticed that the pool had dirt or algae, the whirlpool did not work and there was visible Black mold above the swimming pool. The pool restrooms would not close. This was Not the experience I was used to having at the Sheraton. The rooms were around $195 a night, when we asked the young African American man with dreads explained to us that the pool lift was removed. I asked what the alternative accommodation was under ADA and he couldn't come up with anything."

"I bit dated, but still a nice place to stay. For example, the lamps in the room look like a hand-me-down from grandma, but it is clean and spacious. Typical hotel breakfast is included, all rooms have a decent shower (no tubs), and it's conveniently located to service all of Augusta easily (its surrounded by other hotels, and tucked away to where the entrance is a bit hard to find). All-around a decent place to stay."

"Made a request for a bassinet/Crib during our registration and we weren’t able to get one when we checked in. Hot tub and pools were all freezing cold and the cleanliness was poor throughout the hotel. Also, our air conditioner in the room was going out every 10 minutes and the room temp was 15 degrees higher than what we set the AC to. Mind you that we were on the upgraded “lounge” floor. We ended up just checking out a few hours later and driving the rest of the way home. That being said, the hotel staff was courteous and professional. The guy at the front desk especially. He’s not in charge of operations so I don’t blame him at all. Corporate needs to fix this place. It’s in dire need of Maintainace, staffing, cleaning, and overall modernization. The employees of this pace are set up for failure."

"If I could give 1 million stars I would! This is my second time staying here at this amazing hotel & I once again refused to go home. The staff is always friendly, room service is helpful & clean. Clean rooms & it’s just peace and relaxation. 10/10 recommend this place over everywhere else."
