"Living in Sweethome is great and the workers are amazing. No matter what time is it, the workers are really helpful. Especially a worker named Kunsang, she’s an energetic person and really nice. There was a time my house electric went off and she let us go into her house and heated up the food. I really appreciate for her help!"
"If I could give this place a negative review, I would. I've been here for two years, and the situation keeps deteriorating. The rooms they initially show you are far better than the actual living spaces. They're smaller and in much worse condition. The apartments are infested with rodents, including mice, cockroaches, and flies. Supposedly, the rooms are deep cleaned before new tenants move in, but both years, my room was filthy with stains in the toilets, garbage on the floor, and dirt everywhere. They charge the previous tenant for these issues. Good luck getting anything fixed in your apartment. My dryer has been broken for two years. I've put in maintenance requests weekly, but they keep telling me it's in perfect condition. My small load of laundry takes four cycles to dry. On top of everything, most amenities are closed for months at the discretion of the landlords, who seem to be focused on making money. I strongly urge everyone to stay far away from this place as possible."
"I used to live here and moved out in Summer 2021. During the two years till now in 2023, they tried to charge me $265 for a patch under the sofa's mattress. They did not try to contact me when they found some issue. After 1 month the bill came, I tried to resolve the issue but the management was very determined to rip me off. They told me they have replaced the sofa. They summoned at least 2 debt collectors to harass me during these two years. Here are the picture of the bill, the picture of the patch they sent me and the picture of the sofa I took when I left. This is a company that will make things broken internally to rip you off. Guys beware!"
"AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Seriously, this place is awful. I couldn’t tell you who exactly is to blame, but the entire complex is dreadfully run down, and every promised benefit of living at sweethome falls miles short in reality. To give a few examples, the pool and hot tub are closed all year except for late summer and early spring. When they’re open, they close at 7:00 PM, and are so dirty that you'd probably get a new disease named after you by going in the water. The washers and dryers are all pretty awful as well. The washer in my unit makes a deafeningly loud banging noise whenever its running, and the dryer sometimes takes hours to dry small loads. We've had maintenance look at it only for them to tell us that it’s “not broken”. I’ve had similar complaints from friends in other units. My theory is that the company refuses to purchase replacement parts/models until they literally fall apart. On top of all of that, the construction of the actual units is just... shoddy. The walls in all of the buildings are horrifyingly thin to the point that its possible to hear footsteps of people in the hallway/stairwells, and full conversations of people in nearby units. By entering units or simply walking down the halls of the right building, it’s hard to miss the sheer volume of things falling apart. The trim along several points of the walls in my unit, for example, were completely detached when we moved in. Along with that, the thermostat barely worked (and ended up breaking later on), a drawer in the kitchen was broken when we moved in, there were dryer sheets stuffed into all of our vents, and the door to my room wouldn’t lock unless you physically lifted the door before turning the key. Walking down the halls in any of the buildings will reveal peeling wallpaper and broken lights more appropriate for an abandoned building than an apartment complex where a one bedroom unit will run you over 1k / month. As an added bonus, it’s evident no cleaning is done to units in between tenants. The places this is most evident is in the bathrooms, where there was a black ring of muck around the inside of the bowl, and the common space, where my roommates and I found socks belonging to a previous owner under the couch. Unless you want to spend an hour or two deep cleaning your brand new, 1k / month apartment before you move in, go elsewhere. If you were considering signing a lease with this place, just don't. The issues mentioned in this review are just touching on the mountain of problems with this place. I haven't even mentioned the issues with the wifi, the critters (some of the buildings have roaches, rats, and other friends), and the fact that the provided couch has, without a doubt, never been cleaned (use at your own risk). For the amount of money you would be spending on this horribly maintained slum of an apartment complex, you could get a 3-floored town house literally down the street, or rent a real house with some roommates."
"I would not recommend trusting the good reviews. Edit: The maintinence employee John is very helpful. Otherwise everything here has been bureaucratic hoop jumping and being pressured into catch-22 payments."
