"Be careful with their cancellation policy. I had an emergency surgery the weekend before my stay and they didn't refund me my money or give any other options for other reservation dates, they just simply kept my money. I would not recommend this B&B, book at your own risk. I called 3 days before my check in and explain that I was in the hospital. You already pushed back on me since you are not returning the $590.00 I paid upfront."
"We had a really, really lovely experience at this place! My husband and I stayed there for 5 days in April and it was very pleasant to come back to a quiet place and smelling good. The room is very well taken care of, there is a selection of products if you want to have breakfast in the place. The stairs don’t even bother for the place is very comfortable and clean. The shower may take a little long to heat up, but overall it was a great experience. Thank you Zenobia! Will definitely stay again."
"We liked our stay here. Zenobia made us feel at home and ensured a safe and relaxed environment. The house is old and full of character. It was clean and spacious. The neighborhood is not that great, especially at night. We were up for a bit of adventure and enjoyed it very much."
"Trying to find a place for my parents to stay while they're in town. I live two blocks from this place and asked if i could pop in to take a look and see if it would be suitable. The response was "I'm sorry, we don't do that." Asked a second time emphasizing that she would lose my business and she absolutely refused. I can't see the accommodations before giving you hundreds of dollars? Nope. Very shady. I should add that knowing the neighborhood this is a very odd place for a B&B. And she said its a three story walk up."
"STAY FAR AWAY!!!! We had the unfortunate experience of staying in this so called bed and breakfast. We had planned to spend 8 nights in Brooklyn, but ended up leaving after 4 of them. For a couple of reasons. First, upon our arrival, we had to sit on the front porch steps waiting for Zenobia to get there. We spent 45 minutes watching the locals walk by. Once we were finally let into this bed and breakfast, we were shown up to the 3rd floor where our room was located. The breakfast consisted of day old bakery items and stale cereal. On Day 3 of our trip we learned that there was a hurricane headed our way. We informed Zenobia that we would be leaving, which she told us that she would refund us for the nights that we would not be there. And thank god we did not stay, we would have been stranded in a very scarey part of Brooklyn with no access to food or water. Oh... but she was "still open for business" The last night of our stay, we were about 2 minutes too late in witnessing a shooting. We had the wonderful opportunity to follow the large splats of bright red blood to the corner where the man collapsed. We rounded the corner of where he was just as the police were arriving on scene. Zenobia told us to have a safe trip home, to contact her when we arrived to get the refund. Hindsight... we should have gotten our refund before we left to hold her to her word. All in all... had Sandy not happened, we would have left Brooklyn anyway. Her sight poorly represents what she has to offer. The morning after the shooting, two more people were shot in the same neighborhood. We are very liberal and open minded people, we love to take in the different cultures that different cities have to offer, but this part of town was not safe. Please think twice before you book this bed and breakfast!!! I hope this review saves others from our bad experience."
