"A big upgrade over the market it replaced. Excellent service and stock. Minimal junk food. Very good meat, produce and deli sections. Italian specialties throughout. Dairy section is expensive. Prepared foods in the deli section are priced per ½ pound so it's really twice as much. Beware of sales with tricky exclusions and occasional wrong price scans at the checkout."
"Really good quality produce, meats, and deli department. Some dairy and grocery items are priced toward the high end of the "competitive" range, but that's the price of convenience. The previous place left a void when it closed, so it's great to have an even better neighborhood supermarket fill that void. Unfortunately, there has been an increase in thefts recently and Marino's has had to create a new policy: no using your own bags to shop (use their baskets instead), and no "granny carts" at all. It's inconvenient, but we can't blame the store or its employees; they're simply reacting to a sad reality. Two thumbs down for the thieves who have made the new rule necessary. Meanwhile, we should keep supporting a local business that has served the community well."
