"First time trying it out. Pretty neat overall. Good food, drinks and vibes. MáLà make your own dry pot is cool and hard to go wrong."
"Our server was super friendly and great at recommending dishes! We also took advantage of their half-off wine promotion that night - who knew Boudreaux would go well with the dry pot? For appetizer, we shared the crispy duck salad, which lived up to its name. The dry pot was full of flavors, and we picked about seven toppings for the bowl. I’d highly recommend the fish fillet, beef tongue, choy sum, cauliflower, and some mushrooms. Get a side of purple rice to share, and then you will be all set. It was pretty happening even on a Monday night; be sure to reserve a table."
"Everything felt average with big potential to become above average. Building out your own big dry pot is fun at first then you share it and you kind of don’t really enjoy all the flavors. Appetizers were the best, loved the duck salad. Service was slow and not helpful really on ordering, the restaurant was also extremely loud so made it hard to really enjoy conversation. Prices were to be expected for east village, but if they were cheaper I would feel better about the overall experience and meal."
"Dry pot is awesome! And so is the green peppercorn lager, and the spicy chicken with cucumber appetizer. We shared a dry pot between 2 people with beef tenderloin, beef tendon, lamb, homemade shrimp ball, squid, bok choy, lotus root, and wood ear mushroom. Spicy level: little spicy. This was perfect! We had a side of rice and ended up with leftovers that were still very yummy after reheating next day. I did not care that much for the shrimp balls but worth trying. We are already thinking about who we wanna take to this place when they visit us in the city. Oh that lager so nice!"
"We arrived on a Friday night without reservation with my wife and we were able to get a table without a wait (but with the condition of giving back the table after 1.5 hrs). Overall, it was really good. Would recommend and I will come back. Food was a bit tricky to order but such a great surprise: there are multiple dishes in the first part of the menu which resemble the typical Chinese restaurant, but the trick is that you have to order the pots at the end of the menu (you select the spiciness of the broth and all the ingredients you want on it). We did this as it was the recommendation of the Michelin guide and I’m glad to say it was the right decision. Amazing combination of flavors with high quality ingredients. Beware that the spiciest option it is QUITE spicy (even for me that I love having spicy food). For dessert we had the Sweet Lotus root (which wasn't in the dessert list, but it accomplished that function). The root isn't sweet, but it was served over a syrup, and it was more tender than expected. Would recommend trying as an alternative dessert. Service was normal: not great but not bad. I felt a bit rushed to leave the table. Atmosphere was nice: loved the decoration but the tables were a bit to close to each other."
