Reviews
"It is a really good school with many kind and caring teachers and u r treated like family I really enjoy being in this school ☺"
"The school does have its flaws but it isn't all bad. I attended the school from 6th grade till now. I'm in my senior year of high school. The Middle School When I was in the middle school the main problem was the bullying and fights. The school's deans did not solve any problems. In fact a lot of the time the victims of bullying were the ones being punished. Peer mediation would happen and both side would have to apologize on top of that. a good thing about the middle school would be the academics. Student are allowed to get ahead start in high school because the school allow the eighth graders to take the living environment, us history, and algebra regents. Majority of the students pass with above average marks. The High School Once in highschool the schools guidance councilors are good and bad. They throw you into classes they think you should have and you have to give them a "good enough" reason to get you out of it. I was forced to take an advanced class that was too much for me personally because I was already taking another ap class and a college course. When I request out the guidance councilor said "you can handle it." They want to make sure you are standing out to colleges but aren't making sure your able to manage all of that. The school is said to be a "college board school" and their goal is to send students to college and make sure they stay there but the students who go to college for the most part struggle and feel underprepared and end up visiting the school and saying they had to dropout. A lot of students only apply for community college and the college application process has yet to be introduced to this years seniors including myself. Aside from taking the sat I have no idea what comes next. We've written college essays but don't know what to do with them. The teachers are great for advice. There arent too many fights in the high school but in terms of college readiness this school has to step up their game. A few teacher who You should cherish : Ms.Kalofonos(AP US History) Mr.Charles (English 11) Ms.Cuomo (English 10) Ms.Ahmed (algebra 2& trig, I think calculus too) Mr.Paul (geometry) Ms.Siaba (Spanish) Mr.Gallina (Living Enviornment) Ms. Ciarniello (global?) Mr. Harell (AP Calculus) All the deans Ms.bender-lee, Mr.Dom, Mr.Alexis They may annoy you for uniform or ID cards but they are really nice people."
"Foh worse school . Bathroom is limited . Teachers are so sensitive . Too much rules and this stress kids a lot . And if you lose your ID it's a detention . BS . Let them buy an ID for $3 . You wanna show the kids the best ? Don't stress them . I wish there was a " no star " and the " queens collegiate is one of the best school with 5 stars " is lies."
"Great school. Teachers are great and I regret ever transfering. Everyone treats you loke family because everyone is family."
"It's been fun for these 4 school years. Many policies have changed that I disagree with though. I'll miss everyone. I wish i can go back in time and start High School over again...(┳◇┳)"
