"Ordered from this place, looking to satisfy my hunger. Little did I know I would receive the worst service ever. I call them to ask for a delivery update, first the guy straight up just ends the call on me. I call them back again after 10 minutes, he sighs and says "soon" then ends the call while I am talking. In no way shape or form is this how you talk to any customer. I am rating the food a one star BECAUSE I NEVER RECEIVED MY ORDER. Now I am just left to be HANGRY. Whoever had the late night shift on Nov 4 should be fired and take a class on customer service/hospitality."
"Im not sure if this is the same food place as China King III but they have the same menu and prices and are located in the same place. I’m a college student and I was coming back from a party and I was in the mood for Chinese. The delivery and packaging for my food was very nice. The only (minor) issue I have with delivery is when they left my food, they left a note saying they called me to deliver (they didnt). Im not too hurt by it because I assumed my driver didn’t speak English. Still mentioned because I couldn’t help but feel like communicating that would’ve been way better than telling me you did something when in reality you didnt. I got General Tso’s Chicken and chicken fried rice. My food wasn’t the worst in the world, but for the price I paid it was unreasonable for what I got in my opinion. I couldn’t understand why it felt hot taking it out the package, but was only kind of hot while I was eating. The rice wasn’t fully cooked and they gave me a side of white rice when I never asked for white rice. I will have to find something to eat with it, but I don’t like white rice (too plain for me) and it may j end up being wasted which is terrible. The rice only had a few strips of chicken and clumps of scrambled eggs on top with no vegetables. They gave a whole plate of fried rice and almost no chicken. Im not well versed in Chinese/East-Asian food, nor am I Chinese or East-Asian but that fried rice seemed a little too wet from the soy sauce I assume was used to be proper fried rice. The biggest disappointment that would’ve made up for everything for me, though? There was no broccoli. Even at the worst Chinese food places I had vegetables in my rice. And I had broccoli. China King/Rong City is what I had on hand and available to order at the time I got back to my dorm, but I was really disappointed with what I got. Ill look for another late-night Chinese food place the next time Im in the mood."
"Fish Balls - Fish balls were tasty and had a bouncy texture, and inside was a nugget of juicy pork. The fish ball texture was slightly on the coarse side and there were also some leftover bones in the paste, but the combination of land and sea and well excecated, especially for the low price and casual atmosphere. Check out @bredgyeats for food pictures!"
"Underrated place. Started coming here when I was a kid with my parents and it’s like a must every time I visit the city. Their noodle in soup with beef tripe is flavorful and always has been. The rice cakes lacked flavor :/"
"Delicious fresh fuzhou fishballs (with meat filling) in mild broth, added thick rice noodles to make it a meal. Other customers were speaking fuzhou dialect so the food must be authentic. I spied other fuzhou specialties on the menu and hope to try them next time. Employee said they just moved 2 shops down to 19B and renamed "Rong City." Very friendly service, fantastic cheap eat!"
