Reviews
"Expected much better, based on reviews. Service was slow despite being the only diners for the first 30 minutes we were there. Steak fajitas were ok—came with rice, beans and tortillas, no cheese, pico de gallo, or lettuce, and you cannot get a side of shredded cheese. Asked for shredded cheese and they said they didn’t have a side of cheese, despite it being an ingredient in other dishes. Steak taco had very little seasoning, was not good, and wasn’t eaten after the first bite. Guacamole was as ok. The best dish at the table was the cheeseburger. Disappointed we went out of our way to eat here."
"This place is where you should go if you're craving Mexican food. The flavors pop off and the service is really good. The prices are not over the top when it comes to dining in the city, let alone the east village. A friend and I went and we got the Tacos and the Carne Asada Nachos with 2 Elotes. The flavors were incredible. So good that we knew we had to order drinks knowing this is how good their food was. We ordered a Margarita on the rocks and a Michelada. As simple as the margarita was, it was damn good! And the Michelada was crafted really well. We've never seen a Michelada rimmed with chamoy and tajin with a candied mango straw. I walk by this place a lot and I finally tried it. I'm just disappointed that I didn't go in sooner. Definitely a top contender for best Mexican spot in NYC."
"Small, authentic cantina in the east village. The food was delicious- we had the shrimp tacos, chicken enchiladas and a vegetarian burrito. The sauces had great flavor, not too spicy but well spiced. The shrimp was perfectly cooked- not chewy. The portions were quite large- you won’t leave hungry. We also had the chips and salsa. The salsa was great but the chips were a tiny bit stale. Overall I definitely recommend it if you’re in the mood for good Mexican food."
"Such a cute place! Came here for my 30th birthday and it was the perfect spot. Festive, colorful, not too loud, and everyone who worked there was sooo nice. Good drinks, the signature drink was a bit sweet but good, and came with an awesome skull shaped ice cube. The nachos and chips and salsa were good, salmon was fine, and they brought complimentary champagne, flan, and churros which was super sweet and appreciated. Very good customer service and they made it a special night."
"Went to Cantina 345 on a Sunday for brunch and ordered Chilaquiles with chicken and eggs. I liked them very much. The sauce wasn’t too spicy which is great for people like me that don’t wanna burn their mouth. And the eggs were well cooked Sunnyside up. I’m definitely going back for brunch and dinner too. Way to go!! Keep the good flavor!!"
