"We were tired after a day in NYC and just needed something close to our hotel on W 39th Street. We fancied pasta and found Pomodoro online. From prior reviews, we knew not to expect much from the interior. We arrived and felt apprehensive as it is tired looking. The young man at the counter was friendly enough. We ordered to go, opting to just eat back at the room, and the two of us both had lasagna. It was a good sized portion, with a slice of bread and a little pot of parmesan included, making it extra good value for money. What can we say, the Lasagna with meat sauce was delicious!! A real treat in a city where so many places either overcharge or offer inauthentic fare to tourists. We loved it and recommend the food to anyone who isn't fussed about the actual premises. I didn't get to try the sandwiches but the selection looks very inviting, and you could tell by some on-display prepared salads that the ingredients would be fresh."

The place is set up for takeout/delivery—while there is a seating area and the service is nice w a friendly staff, there is no atmosphere at all. Come for the food, though! I got the salmon, which wasn’t Italian, but was what I was in the mood for—and it didn’t disappoint. I’ll be back!"
