"The Claxton-Hepburn Corrections Center was amazing! I got three hots and a cot, my very own solitary-confinement cell, and even a well-polished stainless steel toilet with a built-in sink!"
"The inability of staff to perform the simplest procedures such as filling prescriptions or following up with patients and general apathetic attitude toward patient care and their patients is hallmark in the ineptitude of this medical facility and its staff"
"This hospital is barely a bandaid shop and are worse then how the hospital near me was a few years ago. There is No communication between care providers, their patients or their family (the care portal is a joke of incomplete information). Case manager "supervisor" ignores patients loved ones about things patient was doing prior to illness. Doesn't listen that the hospital neurologist (who is a first rate jerk and we actually transferred from) and urologist are NOT the patients doctors, doesn't notify the correct doctors. Then tries to illegally threaten to discharge a patient when there is no available transportation and no facility to transfer to (case manager said it's not their problem). Doubt case manager has even attempted to search out of network for facilities. Filed grievances and insurance has also filed complaints. Will be making sure ambulance drivers know in the future to drive the extra 5 minutes to Canton/Potsdam where the care my mother received was amazing because the care my dad has received everytime at Claxton hepburn has been bare minimum for subpar."
"Visit today: FIVE STARS(+) for the cardiologist I saw. FIVE STARS for the 2nd lady who did my heart test, because the first one did it wrong. TWO STARS for the support staff who left another patient's med records in plain view, evidently waiting for someone to pick them up, but visible to anyone else standing there. One last thing -- this hospital is not Walmart, and as such I'd expect to see female personnel (I saw very few male workers) dress in something more appropriate than jeans, sneakers and t-shirt-type tops. Just because this area is mostly low income, doesn't mean people shouldn't have more respect for themselves and where they work. At least ditch the sneakers and jeans. This all falls on who's in charge. They get an F!"
"I would give more stars if I could. Cathy and the team in the ER were incredible. After 2 days of trying to get into another clinic for a monoclonal infusion with no success, I was able to get in a. ER room, be examined and evaluated, and infusion started within 30 minutes. They were so attentive and so kind. Big kuddos to the triage staff, PA, and nurse for their care and concern. Best ER experience I have had."
